Having the same knee procedure done now on the other knee he had before the season. Depressing isn't the word.

Can't believe it- feel really sorry for Amar'e- he was doing everything possible to avoid getting injured again.

I feel really bad for the dude man. He worked hard this off season, came off the bench, and didnt complain. Sad news man...

This team is done. Done. the y shouldve stayed to amare 24 minutes but still this was likely going to happen. Im willing to trade Carmelo and Tyson for the right price in the offseason.

I don't get how he went from feeling great to needing surgery overnight. He took weeks to return to form after the knee surgery earlier this season, so even if he makes it back in time for the playoffs he won't be contributing much.

All we need now is to find out Melo needs surgery and we're done.

I hate to see this happen to talented players. STAT is a good guy who gives everything he has. He was just unlucky to have bad knees. I hope he comes back and can play in the playoffs. This has to be frustrating. He worked hard to learn post moves and it was actually paying off!!!

I remember last season he said he was feeling the best he has in a long time then admitted later in the season his back was bothering him for a while.

If Melo misses the game at Denver, then its time to panic.

Do you still think we keep Wallace on the roster without Melo and Amare now? Chances are Camby goes down within the next week or 2.

Woodson says he has to check w/front office regarding Rasheed Wallace's roster spot. They may need it for a replacement for STAT. #Knicks

It would be madness to waste another roster spot with Sheed- but then again who out there could help us? Do we need a SF or a PF or a SG or a PG?

I hope not. They said he was "day to day" - which they've said for Amare and Sheed in the past.

Im convinced our team is cursed. the 90's Knicks should have won at least 3 titles but something always happened during the playoff run. We also got the worst GM is sports history in isiah thomas that set our team back a decade. Now we have injuries to star players at the worst possible time. We cant win

Pretty bad timing, but I wish Stat well (as usual).

On the one hand I want to say "Put a fork in it" regarding the team, but we played pretty well early in the season without Amare. If we get the Geriatric bunch back we will be ok. But Melo is going to need to play more and he is already hurting. Doesn't look good, but there is still some kind of hope...
