Oy

Carmelo Anthony said his knee has been bothering for a couple weeks. He said he had an MRI a couple of days ago.

- Al Iannazzone @Al_Iannazzone

Shift du Jour

Felton, 10 assists is a nice look, literally
James White, the human decoy
Chris Copeland, suddenly in uniform as stunt man
Amare Stoudemire, the best half hour in basketball
Tyson Chandler, breathing easier with Marcus Camby in the wings

JR Smith, makes you crazy but makes impossible shots as well
Jason Kidd, understands the NBA calendar and where to pick his spots
I Man Shumoert, playing on courage
Steve Novak, quietly finishing strong
Marcus Camby, will block a shot to win a game

Its more important to boast about the previous 2 wins then recognize the large sample of .500 games the team is playing under.

Its more important to to make new threads about threads, that complain about threads.

Im not critical about this place talking about this place, but the quality is really taking a down turn. no one in particular.

Which "you guys" are over sensitive about Lin?

Bonn1997 wrote:You guys are so sensitive to any discussion of Lin.

Any discussion of Lin will have followers and resonate until the end of time, or until our beloved NY Knicks reach the Eastern Conference Finals, whichever comes first. To the extent that Carmelo Anthony is the reason Lin was left hanging for Houston to pluck off the "Job Wanted" listing, he remains public enemy number 7.

Carmelo's complex relationship to resentful fans in disguise is only further complicated by his apparent need to hoist 25 shots agame, no matter what. Dominique Wilkins had the same disease. 'Nique manufactured plenty of highlights but never won a meaningful game in his career.

Could Lin hoist the OBrien Trophy before his boy I Man Shumoert?

Stay tuned.

so Melo has the same diseash as Niq and the Knicks wont be playing in any meaningful games while he's around. The answer man has spoken. Got it

No Real GM for me.

I've been here a long time. There will always be Homers, sombers (love the team, hate the way its run" and haters. Haters usually flame out as they find the gratification of losing just to satisfy the lust of seeing the extreme homer suffer is not usually a healthy activity.

Lately I find a very small perverse gratification in this and thats when I know its time to take a break.

That and I actually the other day looked up and posted about Denver's record when it eclipsed the knicks. The point is I really don't care but was drawn in by that debate. Im about the knicks record and what they do. My bad.

So perhaps a break is in order. I'll take my sanctimonious ass on a sabbatical of sorts.

Self exile and on my own terms implement my own "good riddence" is a graceful exit Its both dignified and pompous all at the same time. Nalod is all that and more!

I will lurk and I will return in time.

There's been much more hostility between the so-called homers and sombers ever since NYKM joined.

You got carried away. You got took.

Contrary to the fanfare, hype and exaggerated public address intonations, this is not Carmelo's team. These Knicks will only go so far as the supporting cast asserts themselves.

Tyson Chandler, like anyone else, needs a relief man.

WTF??????? What will I do without the other half of my latent Centrist Hater personality disorder?

I will not feel responsible for this...I will not feel responsible for this...I will not feel responsible for this...

"Starphuch"
"Be careful, don't get hurt"
"Watch the games, enjoy"
"StarMooby"
"Ray William's bandaid"

I will remain just to ensure no one violates your copyrights!

I have dibs on the "Nalod return-over/under" and the "Who's actually Nalod's other login name?" threads!

Jeez, I'm freaking myself out here.

Lin is not all that, Bonn. No matter how you slice it. Flame out, one shot wonder.

There's been much more hostility between the so-called homers and sombers ever since NYKM joined.

I find myself lurking now and not contributing as much. Specially when I post anything Lin related in the "Other" thread you get personal attacks. Really don't enjoy it. So I pick my spots now.

this is why I avoid the game threads 90% of the time.. not worth the anguish, I stay in the "other teams threads" and still get attacked there.. I have no problem with people who disagree with me.. but when it gets personal, they start following you around from post to post, then it becomes too much... A good debate is fun and healthy.. some can't understand or refuse to understand that.. out of a difference of opinions comes insight, you can learn from one another.. but it seems most are interested in force feeding certain players on you, changing your mind, and finding out what poster you were before... it is really ridiculous, childish and doesn't leave any room for a healthy debate...

I don't know many people on either side who appreciate NYKM's posting. I admittedly don't like beating the dead horse on Lin and the Melo trade, but I don't personally attack people and their "fandom" like he does.

LOL.. but seriously, that is the problem I had on another site...I don't care if you don't like my favorite player, I don't care if you hate him, but lets at least have a good debate and not reduce to name calling.... or following another poster around looking to take shots at all of his post.... we are all here to talk basketball and the knicks.. we can be doing a lot of other things, and I don't think anyone comes here to be insulted. It is funny jrod, i went from being voted most popular poster on a site, to a pariah in just one year because I didn't like a certain player... yet when the masses agreed that larry Brown was the devil, and Isiah was all evil, it was ok to kill these guys every day, all day..... even take shots at larry browns physical problems he had with his bladder... it was no holds barred then....

I honestly think the less you try to force your views on another poster, the more you will win him over in the long run.. and that will open the door for good debates although we may not agree about a damn thing... hahaha..

I think you've moderated slightly over the past few months, despite the rinse and repeat comments you occasionally draw. As a matter of fact, I do remember calling out your mild approval of something Melo did, although I can't remember what it was just now...

NYKMentality and alot of us other homers I believe, tend to overreact to negativity because it's a world view issue. This franchise has been shat on for so long, to have any level of respectability and true star quality is something to be cherished and possibly overprotected. I mean, we live at the top of the division. We have two bonafide stars. We attract people with rings and future HOF'rs. This is the Knicks now. Think about the past without using it to overpaint the present.

It's a shame the endless debate and difference in worldviews is driving people off the site and out of threads. You've got to sit back and laugh at all this once in awhile. It's an arm of the entertainment industry parading as a game of billionaires paying millionaires.

You're right though; here, as in the world in general, misery loves company. I remember the never ending streams of Kill IT, Kill Starbury, Kill ECurry. Everyone on here seems to get along when things are truly rotten. Weird.
