I'm all for it. We just simply need another YOUNG PG. Some speed and handle with penetration ability. Just cuz he hasn't caught on yet doesn't mean he can't help this team. We can't depend on the guys we have. Age is too much of a risk.

I'd waive White. He literally has given us NOTHING. I keep trying to give him a chance to show something and it never happens.

White, Copeland, Kurt, Sheed take your pick.

Though, looking at his profile I don't think it's worth it. In the 2 years he's been in the league he's barely played and when he has he's done next to nothing. Probably better options still in free agency and the D-league.

Couldn't we add him w/o waiving anyone if Sheed is done for the season?

Sheed still takes up a roster spot.

Josh Selby can't help us this year but neither can Kurt Thomas.

Selby is a SG.

We just need a guard that can break down a defense and bring the ball up quickly. Just have enough quickness to defend a little and chase down quicker guards. We don't need Selby to actually run the offense. Who cares if he's a pure point or SG at this point. We need young fresh bodies at guard. People once said the same things about Lin so don't be so quick to dismiss a guy just cuz he hasn't been able to stick so far. Sometimes it's circumstances that lead to that.

I agree! Just like for Lin being in the right place at the right time. Lin can thank D'Antoni for his break. And if he would have stayed in New York Woody might have destroyed him. I now kinda wished that Lin and Melo would have had the chance to really play together. I now believe that Lin would have gotten his props but Melo would still be the alfa dog. Because Melo would still have his skills and talent.

Breakdown PG's have a purpose. We have half of one in Felton and that's it. JR and Shump don't do it enough and aren't that great at it. Say all you want about Lin, but he could get into the paint at will. We miss that aspect of the game. Getting into the paint and drawing and kicking or drawing a foul.

The NY Knicks will never do it. Selby is like getting a free # 1 pick--but lets be honest--this team is so fixated on its current roster that no one else exists. He is more of a 6th man combo guard type--he is no pure PG. But he is super athletic and can score the basketball. What exactly would we lose by picking him up--I can tell you this he can hit the three ball.

You know how he showed his disappointment on twitter the night they drafted Shumpert over Selby and then had to back track as usual

This was one of the most comical moments since he's been a Knick....lol he was there watching his workout like the decision to draft him was falling all on his shoulders but then Walsh switched it up...ha ha ha ha

I really don't know who we should get. So many names popped up. One thing I know for sure and that is no one on this forum would make a good GM we would be trading a player right after he's had a bad game.

To be honest the Knicks war room had it down to Shump and Chris Singleton and then Walsh left it up to D'Antoni. Melo didn't even factor into it at all.

Well that's on Walsh and the rest of the scouts. They could've put a priority on Faried if they felt that strongly about him. He wasn't as high on the depth chart. Problem is that Melo and STAT were the priority and getting another guard was put higher on the list than another forward. Just remember that we need Shump to help with Wade.
