I may be wrong, and I am not ripping Melo, but I don't remember us having Melo bring the ball up so often earlier in the season. I know in certain instances, you want your star to have the ball, and perhaps bring the ball up court.

But I don't remember us employing this as often as I've observed it recently, and it seems symptomatic of the overall lack of crisp ball movement with this team of late.

I don't want to blame Woody, but he is the coach and they should be trying to fix this problem.

Is it a problem?

MDA had Melo do it also. Gives Felton a rest. How many times a game does this happen?

The ball movement just isn't there like it was early in the season. Not sure why, it's a combination of many reasons i'm sure, but our offense is not fluid at all. This summer Grunfield has to take a long look at who can make Melo's life easy and who can we use to build around him. Early in the season our players just complimented him so well.

It was a lot last night - like every time down the stretch. I just don't remember that happening as often early in the season. And give Felton a rest? By having our star bring the ball up?

The ball movement is there. Kidd is just missing every open shot. You cant have him and shumpert who isnt just getting back from torn acl mcl outvthere together. One has to sit. Sit Kidd because he is 100yrs old and wasnt brought here to startvandbplay 30mins

Felton isn't a ball mover. Beginning of season Kidd helped ball movement as of now this team has very poor creativity and the ball movement isn't crisp. Last night Knicks won and was much needed vs a team going in the same direction as the Knicks. I hate to say this but there are just not enough good shooters on this team they pass up open looks. Most of the Knicks ball movement is perimeter movement. To many shots with clock running down.

This team is going to go as Jason Kidd goes. The Knicks are only going to go as far as he can take them. Right now it doesn't look to good.

Kidd was hitting those shots earlier in the year. He looks like he's aiming his shot.

When you have an outside threat like when Kidd was healthy then you can move the ball. when the shot stops falling, so does the defense stop shifting.

2 guards have to be able to shoot. Right now we don't have that much.

Novak loses his effectiveness when his man sticks to him. Thats what you get for 3mm BTW, incomplete players.

it's the fact that you need kidd out there for felton's sake because felton sucks as an orchestrator, combined with the fact that kidd's legs are gone and he can't shoot anymore.

pick your poison: keep kidd out there to help felton and live with his poor shooting, or take kidd out and pray felton can manage a team.

alternatively, i'd start prigioni with felton in the backcourt. the defense will remain porous with those two but prigioni at this point is a better playmaker and shooter than either felton or kidd, respectively.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%
