We have wallowed in mediocrity for the past two months and appear less and less like contenders each game that passes. Clearly, the Knicks have fallen off since their red-hot start, and the fluid offense that originally carried this team is long gone. Why are the Knicks struggling and what does this disturbing trend of sub-par play reveal about our Knickerbockers? You decide (pick the answer that you think BEST explains the skid):
They Knicks are a very solid team that is simply experiencing a slump
The Knicks are a middle-of-the-road club that overachieved in the beginning of the season. Our record is merely averaging out to reflect the true ability of the team.
Woodson is obsessed with isolation and is no longer committed to the principles of defense and accountability he preached last season
The medical staff has finally run out of adrenaline shots to revive our senior citizens at game-time. (We are OLD OLD OLD)
The team is simply indifferent, suckers like us (the fans) care way more about the outcomes of games than theses clowns do
Blow it up before this garbage gives me an ulcer

I think they are doggin it. They actually came out playing d for major stretches tonight. They are the second best team in the east when they give 100% and are capable of contending but I just think they are lazy and uninspired. Melo's hot start has tapered off. JR has been in a huge slump, Kidd is not near 100% and Sheed is out for wh knows how long. Amare should not start. He should simply be a scoring option off the bench. I wish we couldve traded him for just a role player. This team can d up when they have to. They are a scoring machine on most nights even if they rely heavy on iso situations. I think they are a contender physically but mentally they dont have it in them. I expect them to play a good second round, maybe reach East finals if Melo is on his game. I think they will bring their d in the clutch. If healthy, they have a chance at reaching the finals but i dont like their odds against any western team. They would be lucky to take it to 6. But overall they probably arent disciplined or focused enough to get that far. All i know is, if i see a first round exit with this squad, there better be a shake up because that would be horribly disappointing.

We have many problems. mostly no real leader at PG and no real #2 scorer. we are not a team on offense or defense.

What is funny sad is we helped Denver, Houston and GS to become better and breaking this team up now will help some key playoff teams get better with our vets. A little too ironic, don't you think?

What is funny is taht we held all the cards in the melo trade yet we still dismanteled the team and future draft picks. If only melo would have waited but no he had to get as much money as he could before the lockout
