In order for this to work Felton is going to have to hit open jump shots because you can't play 3 on 5 with Tyson on the court. Problem is Felton never had a consistent midrange/3pt shot. One of the most inefficient PGs in the league throughout his career. Do you think he can improve this year or he is what he is and we have to live with this for the next 3yrs?

Ray Felton is who he is. He has 8 years of NBA basketball behind him. Hes 13-14 points 5-6 assists 2-3 rebounds and 40% shooting. He's a decent NBA PG.

Felton would've been ok playing with Ewing unfortunately we don't have Ewing inside. He is slightly better than Charlie Ward.

I know everyone was excited about him returning because of what he did during the first 2months of 2010 under Dantoni but like this year he got off to a great start and has fallen back to his career averages

Tyson Chandler needs to step it up too. It seems that every center in the league brings some offense to the table. I saw him hit the foul line jumper on Wenesday, which shocked me. That shot is always there, and prevents teams from packing it in down low. Although he does tap some rebounds out to the guards, he is far from a offensive rebounding machine. His taking and making that shot will lead to more points off the pick and roll and in the paint, because teams will have to check him out to the foul line, openning up the paint.

Not so much Tyson but when you have Kidd, shump and JR at SG you need Felton to hit shots consistently because those guys can't. If Felton can't then we are in trouble

Hahn posted something on Suila today showing how much more efficient Felton is when he is running the pick and roll and penetrating. Hopefully he and the Knicks get back to that.

When the defense takes that away and we don't hit form the permimeter the game is over.

Maybe its time to start Amare soon if we can get a second unit some bigs to play.

Should I start a new thread for that?

Felton CAN't hit the open shot. It is what it is and everyone around the league is learning what "it" is. And, "it" is not good.

I think that Felton needs to say a little prayer everytime he shoots. That usually works for me.

Charlie Ward is my cousin and I love him but, he is/was quite a few tiers below Felton. The comparison is pretty awful.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

I forgot he's your cousin. I think Charlie developed into a better shooter than Felton but Charlie doesn't penetrate like Felton. Although Felton hasn't been as aggressive as he was early on

That is awesome. I saw a thing on Charlie where he was coaching high school, I believe football. Is he still doing that?

You guys are asking to much of Felton. If you guys recall his first stint with the Knicks he was at a decline after a great start. He is a good back up pg but that's really about it. There is a reason that Denver did away with him he got beat out by Lawson very easily and that put him in a spiral. He is a good back up to have.

He can be a decent starting pg if he just his shooting in, if he's 50/50 on pass shoot now, it should be closer to 80/20 pass/shoot

Felton isn't an orchestrator type pg. One of the problems with Felton is that opponents don't respect his shooting and his passing is at best below average for a PG.

He lacks the court vision you need out of your pg to run the offense smoothly. Doesn't help that his head is always down

His mid range game isn't bad at all as long as he isn't off balance taking contested shots. He makes guys pay for going under the low screen. His 3 ball is crazy streaky. He's had games where he'll hit 4-5 threes and then chucks up bricks the next game. My problem with Ray is he looks tired and his defense isn't consistently there. I think the whole team is living out of a buffet. They just look like they're slowing down.
