He would've sign with the Knicks in the offseason but he heard from Woodson that Lin was coming back and he simply did not want to share the spotlight. So he took the year off

but it's okay because he's only 16 years old in seal years, that's like 80 in human years, and that's plenty of juice left to carry us to the championship next season
