Anyone guessing Knicks offer a max deal this summer with the idea of a sign and trade of Amare and Shumpert to Atlanta?

Now that we traded Brewer, IMHO, you can't also trade Shumpert. We have no defenders at those positions.

Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

I am talking about this summer. It is assuming the Knicks would find a replacement wing defender via draft or FA.

Forget going after Josh Smith. This team doesn't get to the ECF and you can blow the whole team up

It's possible, but I think it's unlikely. IMHO, trading Brewer means Woodson thinks Shumpert can defend the 3. Ridiculous.

Melo and Novak defend the 3. Brewer was never going to play. Amare going to start for Kidd the second Sheed is back

Im not sure if you folks here understand...the knicks are cap strung. Meaning they cant make major moves. No one wants amare due to his salary and bad knees. Hey wont give up melo or tyson cuz those are dolan picks. The most this team can do is trade shump (whos stock is declining with each game he plays).all the knicks can do is sign old vets since they are over the cap. Were stuck with this team until 2014 season when these contracts are valuable to teams cuz theyre expiring

All these dreams of trades for star players simply wont happen

Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

If Melo is shifting back full time to the 3, I'm okay with it, because his defense is passable. Novak's defense has regressed from last season, IMHO.

Essentially you would be blowing it up. It's recognizing the current team won't get it done and making a blockbuster deal to better fit with Melo. Melo isn't getting traded. He's too young and too dominant. Blowing it up means trying to build around him a different way. They would take concepts learned from the 18-5 start and try to build that way. Put athletes, defenders, and shooters around him.
