and the 8th overall pick in this years draft

Why even bother with the melo trade scenarios? He's not being traded, it's an exercise in futility.

By the way this is not because I hate Melo. Just making the most of our only real trade asset. Tyson & Amare are not netting us a #1 pick

We lose Melo for that package and it's a rebuild that puts us in the lottery. Without him we are a 30-win team. If you're lucky that package gets us back to where we are now in 3-4 years if we draft well.

I suppose you are right if you are happy where we are now with a $100MIL uninsured amare swallowing the cap and not being able to produce on the court. Again this is not about piling on Melo but trading one of our only valuable pieces. Why not get a head start on rebuilding this offseason with a budding star PF in Derrick Williams and a first round pick to go along with our first round pick and tyson and felton and shumpert

As opposed to waiting til 2015 and risk getting it wrong again like how we struck out on lebron and settled for $100MIL UNINSURED AMARE
