This team has the ability to play MUCH better than they have. IMO it's a matter of focus. In addition we need to get healthy. We've really missed Sheed, tho I know some are not appreciating how much his presence means to this team. We need desperately for Felton and Kidd to step up and play like they did at the start of the season. We haven't gotten anything from them in a long time. It starts with a win tonight to get back on the horse.

The Knicks haven't lost anything yet. They're still in 2nd place in the East and it's 100% in their own hands where they finish.

I gotta get ahead on this game before it even starts due to our slow starts. No way we are winning this game. GAME OVER.

Worse case scenario for the Knicks tonight. Knicks lose again then Brooklyn gets dominated by Rockets and Lin.

Well...standing wise yes...but ire of fans and talking heads...seeing Lin in the next block dominate while we lose would be painful to a lot of people.

That's painful every day but it doesn't effect our standings. It not about Lin anymore it is about Felton elevating his game or not

Serious question Knick fans. When can we expect Kenyon Martin taking the floor?

Read an article titled "Kenyon Martin Joins Rasheed Wallace And Tyson Chandler To Create “Technical Foul Big 3″.

Can't wait. Tyson, Kenyon and Rahseed? So much freaking toughness down low. Kurt Thomas and Camby won't back down either.

I agree- we're not as bad as we played the last game, but I think we've got too slack- too much joking about. It's nice that the players all get on, but they need to reign it in and get serious. Hopefully today shows a new attitude.

So only losses count now? So if we win you'll say it doesn't count, and if we lose you'll cite it as proof that we're terrible. Do you not see how that might be annoying for people that actually like the team and root for it to win?

Nothing matters but losing, blowing up the team, hating Dolan and the hope of getting swept in the first round. Oh yeah, and Melo's warmup jacket remains a joke!

Life is great in Knickland!

Cheer up jrod after we win tonight we'll be back to debating whether they're xapable of breaking the record wins by mjs bulls and whether lebron or durant is the 2nd best player in the nba

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

Last I read he won't be ready this game or the next. He's meeting Woody tomorrow and he'll see where he's at then. I presume he'll have to get through a couple of practices. No idea what level of fitness he'll be at.

Kind of agree but dont both of you also think

A) teams have figured out how to take away the high screen with chandler and how to get the ball out of melos hands and we havent adjusted

B) teams havr figured out they can kill us using our brrad and butter: high screen and we either arent puttung in the effort

Or we lack the personnel

Or we lack the coaching adjustments

Really hope its just effort cuz the last two I cant really see a solution for

I think he'll be in much better condition than most people expect. This isn't a Rasheed Wallace situation ala a veteran in which was away from the game of basketball for a couple of years.

Kenyon Martin played 42 games last season, 58 games the year before, 66 games back in 08-09, 71 games back in 07-08 etc, etc. He should be ready once he takes the floor and come postseason play, I expect to see a high-energy animal down low coming off our bench. The type of Kenyon Martin who won't back down from anyone. Toughness down low.

Also keep in mind that during Kenyon's 42 games last season, those games were being played during a shortened season/compressed schedule. Back to back games left and right. Sometimes back to back to back games. It seemed as if the Knicks were either playing every night or every other night. That won't be the case here in 2013. Which is why we'll see an even fresher/stronger Kenyon Martin when compared to last season. He'll see around 30 games this season when compared to 42 games last season (heading into the postseason). The difference? More rest between games here in 2012-2013.

Can't wait to see Kenyon Martin. Been calling for Martin in a Knicks uniform since last offseason before the signing with LAC.

We have to win, it's as simple as that- a loss will throw me into a deep knick-based depression, I don't even want to think about it!
