I saw the NBA trade rumours thread. I figured there should be one dedicated individually to the Knicks.

Knicks Dangling Ronnie Brewer In Trade

There had been talk that the New York Knicks were exploring deals involving second-year guard Iman Shumpert. However, Knicks sources say Carmelo Anthony chimed in with ownership urging them to look at other options. Enter Ronnie Brewer.

The Knicks have been shopping both Brewer and sharp shooter Steve Novak hoping to add one more piece to the roster for a stretch run in the postseason.

As you can imagine there isn’t much of a market for either player, so the odds the Knicks can pull something off that matters is looking pretty slim.

The Knicks would like to make a deal, especially for a veteran point guard, however it just does not seems like they have the chips to play this close to the deadline.

Shopping Novak is interesting. opens up a lot of salary matches.

Guys I have seen mentioned I think they should make a play for:

Jordan Crawford
Derrick Williams
JJ Redick
Evan Turner
John Salmons
Paul Milsap

Evan turner has SERIOUS FOCUS ISSUES
You never know whos gonna show up with that guy, 18 & 7. or 7 & 3

Derrick williams would be good, insane athleticism

If all we have is Brewer and Novak to shop, we might as well take it to ebay where the everyone else sells their garbage they don't want anymore.

This statement is untrue and IMO stupid! I thought knick fans were knowledgeable?!

The knick part is also not well thought out.

You're right. ebay has become a thriving online retail environment. Let's try craigslist where we don't have to pay any fees.

I don't believe it. Who's going to D up Wade in the playoffs? Brewer is a proven Wade stopper and over ELITE 2 guard stopper? Novak is the best shooter in the NBA who we just gave $4mio to. Can't believe everything that's written.

I love Derrick Williams not sure how we would trade for him but I would definitely trade Melo for Williams and their 1st Rd pick and even take on Roy
