Mods please merge with current trade talk thread after reasonable time which could mean in seconds flat or whenever...lol

I wanted this to get Scussed a little considering the nature of the situation at hand

The Milwaukee Bucks have been in pursuit of Josh Smith, with Monta Ellis as the most likely trade piece going to the Atlanta Hawks.

But Smith reportedly would like to play with both Ellis and Brandon Jennings, which has caused the Bucks to change their strategy about trade pieces.

The Bucks would likely need to trade a combination of Ersan Ilyasova and the expiring contract of Samuel Dalembert as the main pieces for a trade to work with the Hawks for Smith.

Smith, Ellis and Jennings will all be free agents of various kinds this offseason.

Anyone find this interesting to say the least...I know I do! Here's a guy scheduled to get a big pay day in the off-season or extension prior to and...

WAIT FOR IT, WAIT, WAIT, WAIT FOR IT....

Alright fellas have at it....

KNicks could use Dalembert... that might be a piece to put them over the top. Especially when Chandler looks good defending the 4.

He'd help but the team is very weak in the back-court.

Ellis, Ilyasova and Dalembert is a good package for Smith. Seems like a trade that benefits both teams. I wonder how ATL will manage their frontcourt. Didn't they want to keep Horford at the 4?

The Bucks are one of the few teams desperate enough to pay Josh Smith the max.

Trying to compare Smith and Melo is lame dude. Different situations. Melo had another year to opt into. Smith can still leave Milwaukee high and dry this summer.

Josh Smith wants to be top paid and wants to be the main front court player who gets the most touches.
JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Exactly. Difference is Smith has JR Smiths brain. No way I give him the max.

You know and I know Melo was not going to opt into that year. Smith doesn't want to go to the Bucks AT ALL COSTS, it's conditional, one of those conditions

DON'T GUT THE TEAM IN THE PROCESS....Thank You Very Much!!!

We don't know anything. We know what happened. I believe Melo stated he would have agreed to be traded to the Nets if the Knicks hadn't pulled through.

BUZACTLY which means he was primarily about LONG TERM PAPER not short term as you implied in your previous post. He was always about his paper and paper AT ALL COSTS!

The NBA is a non-profit?

You sounding real foolish man. Smith is all about the paper seeing as how he is leaving Atlanta for the $$$$$$.

Josh feels he's worth the Max and the Hawks don't...okay Hawks say we'll S&T you to the Bucks so you can get all your paper but we're going to want certain assets in return Josh Smith says money is important but not that important.... I'll get it elsewhere if needed. I want to get paid but I want to be on a good team. Which brings it back to ATL if they were to give him Max Money he'd stay....

This is all conjecture. Smith hasn't said a dam thing man.

All rumor. So if Ellis gets traded what will you say? Jennings is like Amare. Smith isnt coming to play with Ersan (Gallo).

If it's a Smith for Ellis trade straight up fair deal as they almost make the same money. If it's Smith/Jenkins/Korver for Ellis/Illanova/Dunleavy and a pick then lol

not sure if that is true. He played well with Average Joe and I never saw any friction within that team. I think if he respects the players he with, he won't be an issue

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

I have to see it! I have to see a line up of Jennings, Ellis and Josh Smith just to see what would happen! I know we were joking about it on another thread, but finally the dream could become a reality!
