This thread isn't designed to talk about each individual game as in our 'other games thread' but instead to talk injuries to postseason contending teams, trades that take place between postseason contending teams, overall standings, matchups in which can potentially effect postseason seedings and/or having meaningful playoff implications. For example tonight it's Milwaukee @ Brooklyn, Chicago @ New Orleans & Boston @ Denver. Would love to see Brooklyn and Chicago loses.

I've been waiting to create this thread since pretty much the start of the season, but thought I'd wait until after the All-Star break in order to due so. I'll be sure to update this thread on a daily basis moving forward.

1.) MIA: 36-14.
2.) NYK: 32-18.

3.) IND: 32-21.
4.) BKN: 31-22.
5.) CHI: 30-22.
6.) ATL: 29-22.

7.) BOS: 28-24.
8.) MIL: 26-25.

9.) PHI: 22-29.

Heading out of the break we're 4.0 games behind Miami for the one seed, 1.5 ahead of Indy, 2.5 ahead of Brooklyn for the Atlantic Division, 3.0 games ahead of Chicago, 3.5 games ahead of Atlanta, 5 games ahead of Boston, 6.5 games ahead of Milwaukee and 10.5 games ahead of Philadelphia.

As of 5 hours ago, Danny Granger (knee) will not make his season debut Wednesday versus New York, despite participating in Tuesday's practice.

As of 5 hours ago, Bulls' head coach in Tom Thibodeau states that it's possible Derrick Rose misses the entire season. “I think in any situation like this you hope for the best but you plan for the worst. That's a possibility that he could miss the entire season and if that's the case then that's fine. We just want him to be healthy and ready to go. Whenever that is we will deal with that. For our team nothing is going to change.”

Bynum (knee) expects to practice in "a week or two" but remains confident that he'll take the court this season, PhillyBurbs.com reports. Nonetheless, he has an appointment with a knee specialist in New York on Wednesday, which could make his status more clear. (about 7 hours ago).

The postseason push is on. The playoff watch starts now.

Not a very productive off night for our Knicks. Boston may have lost but both Chicago and Brooklyn won.

Updated standings heading into tomorrow night:

1.) MIA: 36-14.
2.) NYK: 32-18.

3.) IND: 32-21.
4.) BKN: 32-22.
5.) CHI: 31-22.

6.) ATL: 29-22.
7.) BOS: 28-25.
8.) MIL: 26-26.

9.) PHI: 22-29.

Really big night of Eastern Conference basketball coming up tomorrow night.

Miami @ Atlanta.
New York @ Indiana.
Brooklyn @ Milwaukee.
Boston @ LA Lakers.
Philadelphia @ Minnesota.

First and foremost beat the Pacers and we're 2 1/2 games ahead of Indy moving forward. A win over Indy also gains that 1/2 game we lost on Chicago tonight. A win against Indy puts us 3.0 games ahead of Chicago.

Our dream scenario is NY over Indy, Atlanta over Miami, Milwaukee over Brooklyn and Lakers over Boston. But when in reality, we just need a Knicks win.

Nah, you dont speak for everyone. Wait, make that anyone. At this point, NYK please continue with this. More interesting than the 160+ page thread about Denver and Houston.

Lost by 34 points tonight. It's not the end of the world. It's only one loss although Indy did to us what we did to Sac (39); which was murder us. 82 games during a regular season, these types of loses do happen. Overall, this was a very bad night of Knicks basketball. We lost while Miami, Indy and Brooklyn all won.

Updated standings moving forward:

1.) MIA: 37-14.
2.) NYK: 32-19.

3.) IND: 33-21.
4.) BKN: 33-22.
5.) CHI: 31-22.

6.) ATL: 29-23.
7.) BOS: 28-26.
8.) MIL: 26-27.

9.) PHI: 22-30.

Quiet night of Eastern Conference Baksebtall tomorrow. Only one game. Miami @ Chicago.

We'll have our chance to bounce back Friday @ Toronto.

I'm expecting/hoping us in 3rd seed comes playoff. Our defense just suck right now, and I'm not exactly sure why. I wonder if Woodson is having problems fitting everyone in now that the injured are coming back to play. I've been so busy not able to watch our games so I might be talking out of my arse right now.

If we want this thread to be a hpaay place the Knicks need to attain some pride and stop giggling on the bench. For all the time he's been here and thingfs the team has been through with him, seeing Melo hamming it up on the bench last night was the first time I've actaully been disgusted with him. If this was an isolated game I'd have no problem with it. But we're playing like ****. 14-14. .500 ball for 34% of the season. And they're not playing hard. This is on the star and the coach. Fix it now.

Dude, speak for yourself. NYK is an optimistic fan....what's wrong with that? Is is that you prefer pining for players that are gone, following Houston and Denver, moaning about Lin and the Melo trade?

We have a chance to not only avoid our first 4 game losing streak of the season, but also rebound after an awful loss. Getting back to 1-1 after the all-star break is our goal.

Updated standings moving forward:

As of right now we're 5 1/2 games behind Miami, .5 ahead of Indiana, 1.0 ahead of Brooklyn, 2 1/2 ahead of Chicago, 3 1/2 ahead of Atlanta, 5 1/2 ahead of Boston, 7.0 ahead of Milwaukee and 10 1/2 ahead of Philadelphia.

1.) MIA: 38-14.
2.) NYK: 32-19.

3.) IND: 33-21.
4.) BKN: 33-22.
5.) CHI: 31-23.

6.) ATL: 29-23.
7.) BOS: 28-26.
8.) MIL: 26-27.

9.) PHI: 22-30.

Big Night of Eastern Conference Basketball coming up.

New York @ Toronto.
Pacers vs. Pistons.
Nets vs. Rockets.
Chicago @ Charlotte.
Hawks vs. Kings.
Boston @ Phoenix.

Teams such as Miami, Milwaukee and Phlly have off night's.

Our dream scenario would be Knicks over Raptors, Pistons over Pacers, Rockets over Nets, Bobcats over Bulls, Kings over Hawks and Suns over Celtics. But with all that said, the only game that matters is our Knicks @ Raptors matchup. Take care of Toronto and let the pieces fall as they may...
