and the games against under 500 teams, 8 are away and 5 home,

Miami has the most favorable combination of games, which means their hardest work is complete and they are 36-14 to show for it,

Our easiest days are behind us, if we win 18 out of the final 32 we have to be happy.

prediction: Knicks finish 50-32 with an 18-14 second half record, that's 56% compared to the current 64%, not a huge drop-off if we consider the increase in matchup difficulty,

but do NOT be surprised if we finish a few games under 50 wins, and I would not be surprised if we finish with a few wins OVER 50,

loose prediction: Knicks finish with 47 to 53 wins,

ISnt that what most predicted anyway? A 47-55 win season?

I think the Knicks quick start gave everyone highER hopes but if the Knicks finish with a 50 wins, we have to be pleased with that.

I don't know, with all the hype it felt like people were predicting 60 wins and a lock for the ecf,

to my mind, 47-53 wins is a mediocre club when you consider the fat rolls of cash dollar they are throwing at the group,

were we not, in our previous build, able to drop 45-50 wins?

50 wins is only 8 more than 500 ball,

elite teams are dropping 55 to 65 wins,

what is the plan going forward to get us into elite tier?

yea it will be fun to watch, it's almost like a mini playoffs,

one thing is for sure: if the knicks cut the cheese in the second half of season, they are hardened and ready to go in playoffs,

that is true. if they SAY they are a championship calibre team, then lets prove it. beat the champ caliber team at home, steal some on the road and crush the under 500 teams on the road!

Whelp....we'll have a good test right off the bat at Indy Wednesday night. I anticipate no moves (although the Shump chatter is worrisome) so this is what we're going into the playoffs with. Our problem is intensity and effort. This team can hit shots and play D. It's on Woodson to get them back where they were.

We just arent the same team as we were in the beginning of the season. The November Knicks were a team that could beat the Heat and got to teh finals. Now we look more like a 5-8 seed team. I mean i understand have a rough pathc but we have been inconsistent for nearly 2 months now. Maybe we were playing over our heads at the beginning. Hopefully the all-star break gives kidd a recharge, shump can be more ffective, and hopefully Camby/Sheed can actually be healthy. Thats a lot to ask for but we pretty much need all those things to happen to have a chance

To be consider elite you have to beat really good teams. How many times have you seen a team go on a 7 to 10 game win streak then look at there schedule and notice the teams they beat were hardly that good..The first thing you say, "they haven't played nobody"

I'm glad the knicks play some really good teams, weather on the road or not, this is were the real season begins..

I agree. I might add Boston to the list of teams that could beat us. Hopefully Chicago and Boston can play in the first round so we only have to deal with one possibly. Indiana and Brooklyn are pretenders. Atlanta and Milwaukee aren't going anywhere.

i agree with it.....to an extent. i cant see another team in the east besides miami and chicago winning 4 games in a series against us. however, it doesnt mean that it CANT happen. woodson's track record in the playoffs is not exactly the best. also there are a plethora teams in the west, IF we make to the finals ( HUGE if) that can beat us too, some maybe sweep us.

The defensive effort has simply been lacking. It's not about the level of competition we've played. That plus Melo's jumper has cooled down and teams aren't letting him go one on one all the time.
