All my excitement about this team from early in the season is gone. We get Amare back and the offense actually goes backwards. No one moves without the ball. Woodson doesn't do anything about it. Tonight he clearly focused on the defense. Knicks came out of the gates better defensively but the offense is broken

I can't watch this if Woodson keeps trotting out this pathetic starting 5 night in night out. Miss matches everywhere defensively, no shooters, no scoring inside with the exception of the lob to Tyson. No easy transition baskets. We are the slowest team in the league even with the small lineup

This is a downright disgrace. What a way to head into the allstar break. Not even going to bother watching our guys now.

Blow it up

I will try again in 2015

Mike Woodson says he'll reconsider the starting lineup. That could possibly include Jason Kidd, who is struggling.

Novak finally had it going in the 1st half and Woodson sat him out virtually the entire 2nd half.

Was about to post this in another thread. Our coach worries me started a few weeks ago.

Melo suffered a contusion on his right arm. Was bothering him all game. He said his play in the All-Star Game is in question

Did I mention that Toronto played a tough game lastnight. Knicks were off since Sunday. How do the Knicks look more tired. Can't even finish layups. UNFUCKINBELIEVABLE

It never ceases to amaze me guys that are hurt especially with hand/arm/shoulder problems still manage to put up high volume of shots based on minutes played. If his arm was hurting that bad I would have expected more hockey assists facilitation on his part.

Speaking of which when is the last time we talked in depth about Melo's hockey assists?

Knicks are a one trick pony (MELO & 3pt shots) that took the NBA 24 games (18-6) to figure out.
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

I asked Melo why he kept shooting if his right arm was numb. He answered, then said, "You'd have to be a shooter to understand."

What excitement? These boards have been echoing misery for most of the season- please remind me of when the excited bit was, because I think I missed it among all the "Melo sucks", "Novak sucks", "brewer sucks", "jr sucks", "Felton sucks", "we suck without Felton", "we will suck without Felton", "trade shumpert", "trade everyone", "our record is an illusion", "we're all going to die", "our defense sucks", "we're better without Amar'e", "Amar'es defense sucks", "every good team we beat let us win", "So much for Woodys accountability", "woody sucks", threads, followed by people like me complaining about the complaining, then people complaining about the people complaining about the complaining.

Smack has it nailed. The majority of threads are nothing but whine festivals where everything never feels right and the next trade (or firing) is lurking in the shadows.

I thought that we really turned a corner not that long ago. I still have hope for the team, but hope doesn't win championships. That is getting old with this team (e.g. - Stat and Melo need a training camp together, they will turn on the defense come playoffs, once Ray is back the offense will click, etc.) I'll wait for Camby and Wallace to get back to health before putting a nail in the coffin, but our defense looks horrible and our offense is getting worse (more ISO and less ball movement).

Stat was playing well and now looks like he has regressed. Hopefully Melo comes back around to that MVP type play. We need the ball movement back. We need the defense back. Our eyes don't lie.

On a positive note, Raymond is playing fairly well, which was a concern of ours earlier. On a negative note, take a number please...

Pretty much....Hard to maintain any excitement after the sombermites jump in every thread and piss all over this team its favorite son, Melo, even after wins. Its gotten very predictable and boring. After tonites loss, before opening any thread, I already knew the usual suspects would be all over the gamethread and creating new ones trashing the coach and team (esp Melo) and offering up trades.....Because of this, I've taken long breaks from this board....It's one thing to be critical, but its tough to stomach the obvious agenda's....

Melo had a handfull of open looks that he would normally knock down that spun out, not to mention several times I though he got hit while taking it to the hole, but didn't get the benefit of the whistle tonight. But when you have an agenda, its hard to understand....
