Has anyone noticed that ever since Brewer has been benched, the perimeter defense has suffered? If Shump isnt ready then bench him or at least don't play him many minutes. Its all about playing guys who can contribute. If Novak isnt hitting threes, then hes not contributing and should be benched
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

Shump is not even a backcourt player. Woodson has him in the front court at SF with Kidd at SG. He is listed at 6-5 but probably 6'4.

When you're:
PG 6'1
SG 6'4
SF 6'4
PF 6'8

You have major problems offensively and defensively

I know J.R Smith is best off the bench, but if we're looking to improve our perimeter defense you start J.R Smith right off the bat. Lets be honest here, he's more than just a "6th man", only Melo and Felton average more minutes per game when compared to J.R.

C: Tyson Chandler.
PF: Carmelo Anthony.
SF: Iman Shumpert.
2G: J.R Smith.
PG: Raymond Felton.

Our bench would still have a scoring punch with Stoudemire as our 6th man.

Amare is starting once Sheed returns. Not worth starting JR for one game then putting him back on the bench after the allstar break

has anyone notice how well Felton is shooting since coming back. Defense no but he has been imho taking good shots mostly. Interested in seeing if he continues to shoot less.

I agree about things changing with the benching of Brewer. I keep hoping that he is getting over the knee surgery he had before the season started and will bounce back but his offense has been horrid whenever he gets into games. I don't think he is going to bounce back this year. I am not really sure what a good solution would be as Kidd needs to just rest and Shump is just working himself back. Maybe start JR and feature Amare off the bench for that scoring spark.

I read an article earlier today where Woodson was talking about what he would do if Shumpert continues to lag and he said he might have to bench Shumpert and start Brewer until Shump gets his lateral movement back. Woodson has no plans to have Kidd come off the bench anytime soon.
Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

In November and part of December Brewer seemed to be benefiting from working with Hopla on his shooting. Since then he has really struggled. If he could contribute again it would be great. I would also love to see Cope start getting minutes again.

I also hope Brewer can come back. His corner shooting was a great part of out success earlier in the season cause every team left him open. I just dont understand why Woody wouldnt just slide Shump to the 2.

Brewer might come back but I doubt his shot will. His entire career he's shown that he's a terrible shooter.
