i think our age and lack of any speed really hurt on on the defensive end

I always thought of Felton as being tenacious on D.

Is the solution to sicc Shump on Rubio?

nah doesn't have the lateral quickness yet

woah.

Am I wrong? Watching him just stand there and not jump when a guy half his size gets a layup on him is maddening. Happens every game.

Yep. I think he had ADD. Can't focus for 40mins

Not sure. I feel like NBA guards are so quick. If our guards keep letting them get into the lane, what's a reasonable percentage of those shots that Chandler is expected to block/challenge?

Is it an effort thing? Awareness? Is Chandler just too slow?

Let's try to elevate the level of discourse in this byeetch. Please

This team is really struggling offensively. Not good when the schedule tightens and we play the elite

JR Smith beat by Shved. Wolves guards too quick to stay in front of?

Time to go to zone??

Center wise I actualy find Chandler to be among the "quicker" ones, not that any of them are actually quick to begin with.

because we play zero defense. For a veteran team we seem to mail it in on defense. I mean i hate the celtics but despite their age they play tough defense

Chandler is powered by his offense. He needs the lobs to keep his energy up. Like a lot of big men they need touches on O to get them motivated. IF not "get your popcorn ready" Tyson shows up.

Knicks use the excuse of other teams having quick guards all the time. Maybe we just happen to be the slowest backcourt in the league defensively

Only the start of the second quarter my dude. Blowouts don't always happen in the NBA in favor of the favorites. Just look around the league. Washington up on Brooklyn. Charlotte up on LAL. Pistons up on San Antonio. Miami only up 1 on LAC after 1. Etc, etc.

I'm trying to think positively. If you are correct we need perfect team defense because allowing teams to get into the paint consistently is death. We're still a 31-15 team even with our possibly slower guards.

I'd like to see some #s measuring where the Knicks stack up against the league in terms of allowing guard penetration.
