No not that kind you pervs but is there's a good chance that Flight White can take the dunk contest, Steve Novakane wins the 3pt shootout and does the belt & finally in a game where almost no defense is played Melo goes nuclear from behind the arc & drops 40 on All Star Sunday taking home the MVP trophy.
It could happen, matter of fact write it down cause you heard it here first!!!

I'd rather win a championship and get 0 accolades on All Star weekend.

It's the journey that matters. If not, NBA fans would tune out the offseason, preseason, regular season, postseason and NBA Finals followed by checking the newspaper at the very end of the season in order to see if their team won the title.

Every fans goal is to witness their team win an NBA championship. But it's the journey that matters the most and/or provides the memories of a great season. All-Star weekend will always and forever come before a championship (schedule wise). And during All-Star weekend? As a long time Knicks fan? I'm going to enjoy the likes of Carmelo Anthony, Tyson Chandler, James White and Steve Novak to the fullest. Then it's time to focus on the regular season (once again).

Also, chances are, you'll never see an NBA team win an NBA championship without "All-Star weekend accolades". Just ask Michael Jordan who participated in 14 all star weekends/events. Or even LeBron James who's already been to 9 all-star games. Really not sure why some Knicks fans must turn any positive (all-star weekend) into a negative and/or make remarks such as only a championship matters when we're simply enjoying our players being recognized by the basketball world moving forward...

The Knick fan brain on Somber is a terrible thing to waste. Or something to that effect.

I think everyone would agree that a championship > all-star accolades.

But how many people actually end up winning a ring? And how many people who've won rings are all-stars?

There are benefits to both. It doesn't have to be either/or.

Think of it as a motivational thing... you have to play hard and your team needs to play well to get to participate and this is the short term award. Many great players don't have rings (like #33), doesn't mean he won't be remembered or respected.

It is a good thing to be able to send four guys from our team to represent the Knicks, join the ranks of the creme dela creme of '12-'13 and raise some money for charity along the way. I'm not going to diminish that.

CONGRATS MELO, TYSON, STEVE & FLIGHT!!! Make us proud!
