should I would think. He loves New York so that can't hurt and we have his bird rights and can go over the cap (how funny since we are over regardless) to resign him. Unless someone offers him some insane amount, I don't see us losing JR. You can't discount what it's like to truly feel wanted and loved by the crowd. Don't think he has EVER come close to experiencing the appreciation New York has for him.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

I think he loves playing here and I hope we can keep him. He has a great realtionship with Woody and JR is still a head case. I can't see a team out there willing to throw big $$$$'s at him.

After The Jerome James, Villanueva contracts, I wouldn't rule anything out

I think JR is coming back, he isn't going to be offered a 8-10 million dollar contract.

He is close to home, playing with coaches and players that he likes and support him, even his brother in the organization right now rehabbing and will be trying out in the summer again.

We'll give him that 35 million dollar contract and he'll sign.

I dont believe JR Smith is resigning with the Knicks....I think he's going to get a nice big contract this off season and the Knicks will not be able to match.

it is a possibility but we will never know, maybe Chris Smith gets signed to a 2 year deal with the Knicks that is partial guaranteed
Maybe another player option that would allow the Knick's to get his full bird rights vs early bird rights as well
Unless we can are actually considering trading JR Smith while we can get back good value, I don't see the point of worrying about it now, we have something more important to worry about

1- finishing strong before the all star break and getting in the mindset for play off time
2- getting everyone in shape, coming back from injuries, and building chemistry on the court together

With the way Woodson and Grunweld did not make any acquisitions during out injuries with Felton/Wallace *non guaranteed contract*/Camby, it would be fair to say Grunweld has allowed Woodson to keep the roster intact

Sign Chris Smith to the MLE and max JR Smith out.

NBA would probably get in the Knicks ass for sure if we did that.

I think if they just sign Chris JR stays.
