Yeah fella's 31-15 and looking to keep the momentum going against the Wiz tomorrow night. We're taking care of business and doing what good teams do which is win the games would should win. Granted I haven't been a member of this forum as long as many of you but I would be lying if I didn't say I was dissapointed at the lack of enthusiasm here on the UK.

Instead of Knicks love I'm reading about the Melo trade, how if we were in the West we wouldn't be as good, that Ray Felton is not that good and pro/con Melo thread? I understand that not all threads/posts are going to be positive and a decade of losing can play mind tricks but WOW. The reason I joined this forum is that there seemed to be a ton of intelligent Knicks fans and basketball fans in general. It seems that many are waiting for the wheels to fall off and are more content to discuss negatives over positives.

C'mon people! This is a NEW TEAM. Yeah the players have the same names across their chests but this is a different TEAM. We're over half way through the season and are a half game out of the #1 seed. I believe that this team can win it all this year.

All I can say is that I'm loving this season and loving this team. How about you?

This team is friggin awesome. They defend. They execute on offense. They don't turn the ball over. The team has two players on it that played on arguably the best US Olympics team in history (though I would go with the 94 squad). The bench has possibly the sixth man of the year as well as another cog off the bench that we chanted for as our MVP after a decade of sucking donkey dong. I would be shocked if the Knicks don't also have the coach of the year

sometimes you just need to take a step back, smell the roses, and enjoy the ride!

Definitely loving this team right now. Haven't felt this way about a Knick team since 99. We have the second best record in the east, with a clean sweep, blow-out style, of the only team with a better record than us. We have a legit shot to make a loooong in the playoffs. Yes, definitely loving this team...Mckey D's style.

I feel you! But I need to note that I feel MUCH better about this team than I did the 99 one because the latter team was a huge disappointment during the regular season and then had a sudden, unexpected magic carpet ride. (I feel similarly about the 99 playoff run and Linsanity)

when we are moving the ball, making good cuts, taking quality shots, and DEFENDING at a high level YES because I these are the habits that we need to do to bring us to a consistent level of play

If we are winning while consistently taking poor shots I feel it is setting us up for failure in the long run

I love this team. I feel proud and have been to 4 games this season and enjoyed it. I can hold my head up high with pride. Melo and Amare may be a greater fit than ever imagined. I feel so proud of Amare and the way he is playing. I can only say one thing. I can't wait till Amare is in the starting line up. He shouldn't use his starting job because of an injury.

I want the ring and nothing else, I'm down here in Baltimore watching these Ravens fans celebrate there team championship..

I just want this team to stay focus and hungry, we have all seen teams win a bunch of regular season games and crash land in the playoff, bulls twice, heat, mavericks, spurs, okc, boston..ect...

The heat went to the finals after beating up on eastern teams that were missing key players, THATS LUCK..

Along with hard works comes LUCK (like the ravens not getting penalize for holding on that last play) we just got to put ourselves in a position to get lucky

My thoughts exactly. The postseason run was nice during a year in which the Bulls fell off the map without Jordan (13-37 overall) and struggled throughout the entire regular season (only 27-23 along with 4th place of our Atlantic Division). Ewing was aging and in short, was nothing compared to the teams I grew up loving during the early/mid 1990's.

Haven't felt this way about a Knicks team since the early/mid 1990's and even then, there was Michael Jordan. 31-15 is nice but you know what's scary? Is the fact we've only had three games in which we've featured Felton, Kidd, Shump, Melo, Tyson, Amar'e, J.R, Novak and Pablo. And we're 3-0 with our core intact and playing stronger than ever.

It is so much fun to root for this team. After almost a decade of being under .500, this team is making basketball fun again for NYK fans.

Yeah, there is NO DEFENSE for the negative Nancy's posting here. Especially the butt hurt veterans of the board who, I wish would become lurkers or, even better, go become Houston or Denver fans.

We suffered through some torturous seasons but, the Knicks Winter is over, we enjoyed the hope brought on by Spring and now that light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter and brighter as the season progresses.

For every positive mention of our hero's, someone feel the need to chime in with a negative...wtf is that all about. One doesn't need or have to be a homer to feel ecstatic about what is happen with our favorite ballers. One doesn't have to be a homer to be pleased with Amare and Co. YOU ONLY NEED TO BE A FAN.

For some reason, guys feel the need to play The Devil's Advocate and Bam (as Dan likes to say on PTI) we have to endure the Melo haters and then true fans chime in to counter and the next thing you know.....THREAD HIJACK.

I love this team, I love this game and I love NEW YORK

the winter was over two years ago when we had one of the youngest teams in the NBA and were winning games and beating the best teams in the NBA. Then it came back. The winter was over this time last year when your hero who had quit on the team got hurt and Linsanity ran off a bunch of wins and made the Knicks relative again. Then it came back. Now the winter is over again this year right?

I hope your right!

This has been a great season thus far, but the reality is we dont know how good this team is. The East has been very weak and the Knicks have not been consistant and there are key players on this roster who are a older than dirt.

Ive enjoyed every win. Its great to the see the team playing so well. Seeing STAT round into shape certainly improves our outlook come postseason. You need real scoring to win those games, as we have seen in the past teams lead by 41% career post season volume shooters, DONT tend to do well in the playoffs, so it seems we may dodge that bullet and this team can actually accomplish something. That would be REALLY exciting. Time will tell.

They're beating up on the fish in the bottom of barrel,

I wouldn't get too amped about this streak,

But it is very good record,

Nuggets grizz and warriors all have 30 wins

anyone who is not mclovin how this band of brothers has withstood the questions about Amare and Carmelo being incompatible, old jokes, multiple injuries and the drama queen reporters - has GOT to be pleased, if not downright happy dance - about being 31-15.

its funny... maybe Im the only one around here actually in the NYC area. Maybe its just my Yankee/Giants mentality that playoffs or winning records alone arent that exciting, that we hold our standard of excellence a little higher in this area.

If we were in the West we would be in 4th place with Gallo's Knuggetts and David Lee's Warriors right at our heels.

If your a Knick fan this has been a good season and there is plenty to be happy about. Enjoy the journey

someone obviously has misread my post. Melo is not MY personal hero. I referred to the team as a whole as my hero's. Also, nice of you to rewrite history. And please, lets not bring Linassity or D'Antoni into this. Guys were and still are INSANE about Melo NEEDING to fit in with Lin. Who the fuk was Lin. He was the one (as Jeff VanGundy said) who needed to learn to play with Anthony, the established VET. D'Anphony mis-used Melo, miscoached this team and I am damn glad that they are BOTH GONE.

Also, the winter ended THIS season. Any year you have Bibby and a broken Baron Davis as your point guard and an injured Stat on the shelf, you are experiencing the height of WINTER. Lin gave us a few day above freezing but, that is about it.

You compliment the team with a backhanded insult.....I was right that by making positive statements someone would chime in with the negative...even if they tried to camouflage it.

Also, how is 31-15 inconsistent. Inconsistent was life under D'Antoni where, even if your doing good, you might find yourself benched. Dude was so stubborn that if that he'd refuse to play someone just because the crowd wanted them. N8 was playing well pre-Allstar break but, once he won the dunk contest, coach benched him because he thought it would give N8 a big head. What an ass.

N8 was playing well pre-Allstar break but, once he won the dunk contest, coach benched him because he thought it would give N8 a big head. What an ass.

didnt camouflage a single thing. Your post is spot on with what has been pointed out over and over and over again. If you dont think this team is the best and Melo is the best your a hater. Good job. No camouflage needed on that one

Sorry. I am very pleased with the season from top to bottom, including everyone on the roster. Melo has played great. Amare has come back and is playing great. Woody has been solid. Shump is rounding into form. It could be skys the limit. Or it could be we are still build around a player that shoots a career 41% and has the worst playoff record of any NBA player in the last 20 years. So excuse me. Did I rewrite that history also? No. Im happy your so excited. Really... I am. Glad your enjoying. Myself I have been burnt by this team over and over again as mentioned above. So I will be happy to acknowledge their greatness when something has been accomplished. As of right now we are the Pacers, Grizz, Warriors, Nugs, Bulls, etc etc.. we are good, but we are not elite. I do hope we get there. In the meantime I will simply continue to enjoy the games. If thats ok with you.
