This game legitimately scares me. Especially their backcourt Wall/Beal

Knicks win 128-73

During our last game against Washington, it may have been a home game, but we won by the score of 108-87.

That was without the likes of Kidd, Shumpert and Stoudemire too. All three will be present come Wednesday night.

Washington featured Bradley Beal during our Knicks victory as well. They may have been without Wall, but I (personally) don't believe that John Wall is enough to overcome our additions of Jason Kidd, Iman Shumpert and Amar'e Stoudemire.

Washington has gone 7-7 since Wall's return. Just not a very good basketball team to say the least. This should become another Knicks win going away.

I'll be at the game. Excited to see the team again.

Wizards games are always like home games for the Knicks. There are always = or more Knick fans in attendance and the ticket prices are ridiculously low....they practically give them away.

imo our backcourt is superior. Wall hasn't proven himself to be a top flight point guard and I'm still waiting to see if he can do anything but go north to south at breakneck speed. Last time we saw him, the Knicks simply built a wall between him and the rim since he couldn't seem to go east and west. If he can't make a beeline for the rim he wasn't very effective.

the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

Gunsanity? Hope it ends differently than Linsanity.
I would be pissed if you signed up on a Rockets board for fun and that got you banned from here.

But I have a world of faith in Martin and Andrew compared to none in Dolan

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

For those perpetually worried about next year: #Knicks have Early Birds on JR, a first round pick and the Mid-Level Exception.

lol tried explaining this and why we won't lose JR and his reason for signing for less this year. Wish we could trade that first round pick, but whatever. MLE will net us another nice role player. With no significant injures, we are looking nice next year as well

It may be our off night, but we have a chance to have a very productive night of Knicks basketball.

Indy vs. Atlanta & Nets vs. Lakers. I'm plling for the Hawks and obviously the Lakers.

As of right now the Pacers are up 6 with 2 minutes left in the third (ATL fighting hard) while the Lakers are up 9 on Brooklyn at the half. After tonight, with potential Indy and Brooklyn loses, we could be...

3.0 games ahead of Chicago.
3.5 games ahead of Indy.
4.0 games ahead of the Nets for our Atlantic division.
4.5 games ahead of Atlanta.
6.0 games ahead of Milwaukee.
7.5 games ahead of Boston.

And then tomorrow we're right back at it. Lets go Atlanta!

Don't think the Knicks have the full $5.5mil MLE because they are over the cap

Only $3mil LLE
Wiki:

Mid-level exception
Once a year, teams can use a mid-level exception (MLE) to sign a player to a contract for a specified maximum amount. The amount of the MLE and its duration depend on the team's cap status. The MLE is $5 million for a duration of four years for teams that are over the cap either before or after the signing, but did not pay a luxury tax in the previous season. Teams without cap room that paid tax in the previous season have an MLE of $3 million with a three-year duration. Teams with cap room, previously ineligible for the MLE, have a new MLE of $2.5 million with a two-year duration. The MLE is frozen at the stated levels through the 2012–13 season, after which it increases by 3% per season.[5]
Before the 2011 CBA, the MLE was equal to the average NBA salary for all teams over the cap. Teams with cap room were previously ineligible for the MLE.[5] The Mid-Level Exception for the 2008–09 NBA season was $5.585 million.[12] The MLE was $5.854 million for the 2009–10 NBA regular season.

Bi-annual exception
The bi-annual exception was used to sign any free agent to a contract starting at $1.672 million. Like the mid-level exception, the bi-annual exception was also split among more than one player, and was used to sign players for up to two years, with raises limited to 8% per year. This exception was referred to as the "$1 million exception" in the 1999 CBA, although it was valued at $1 million for only the first year of the agreement.
An example of the bi-annual exception was the Los Angeles Lakers' signing of Karl Malone to a contract before the 2003–04 season.
The exception was eliminated for luxury tax paying teams following the 2011 NBA lockout as many high spending teams were using this as a tool to gain top paid players.

not having the full MLE would stink but that's still plenty of ammo... next year's team has a chance to be much better than this year's. that's all you can really ask for, no?

Opposite. Kidd, Camby, Kurt and Sheed likely retire and we can only pay JR up to $5.5mil. if a team offers 7 or 8 he is gone. This is the year to win it all since this team doesn't have youth
