Charlotte might want to tighten up the salary cap. They have too many guards also.....knicks need to stop starting James white and brewer. Gerald would be a fantastic pick up for us.just surge skilled player to make us hard to defend.

KT and Brewer are hot garbage and no team would ever trade anything of value for them. Charlotte is under the cap and doesn't need to cut salary. If they did want to cut salary they'd look to trade either Ben Gordon or Tyrus Thomas. Gerald Henderson is an expiring contract anyway so this trade makes even less sense from their perspective. I'm trying to decide if this or the Felton for Stephen Curry trade is the worst trade proposal made this season so far.

I dont like G.Henderson, he got offensive skills
but a poor FG shooter and though he can get to basket he isnt going to be key at FT line either

With talent he got a little bit of everything wrong OR inconsistent, other than his age (young)
I don't think NY will fix this guy

Except that's not what the trade was. It was Jeffries, Gadzuric, Kostas Papanikolaou, our 2016 2nd rounder, and cash in a sign and trade for a player who will never be welcomed in Portland again.

If I am not mistaken this was one of the WORST trades in Knicks history. They traded a #1 pick for Henderson which turned out to be Scotty Pippen :-(

For a change I'd like us to stick with a team the whole season- just to see if the chemistry and familiarity gains are better than any minor upgrade via a trade.
