Cut Kurt and bring up Sims from our Dleague team

Woodson says Sheed could play if it were the playoffs but he rather keep him and Camby fresh for the playoffs. Wish he applied the same logic to Kidd.

Chances are Sheed and Camby won't be back til after the Allstar break. Sims looked pretty good in preseason blocking shots, athletic and nice midrange jumper. Can't hurt to get a infusion of youth

he looked decent in preseason. I'd say he's a bit of an upgrade over Kurt. Forgot all about him but, I don't think we have a roster spot for him. If we are going to cut someone, I'd rather them give a 10day contract to Martin and allow the kid to continue to develop for the rest of the year in the D-League.
the fact that you can't even have an unrelated thread without some tool here bringing him up make me think that rational minds are few and far between. Bunch of emotionally weak, angst riddled people. I mean, how many times can you argue the same shyt

Stick a fork in sheed and sign kmart
Knicks should be improved: win about 40 games and maybe sneak into the playoffs. Melo, Rose and even Noah will have some nice moments however this team should be about PORZINGUS. the sooner they make him the primary player, the better

He looked decent in preseason. Nothing flashing, but solid enough for a call up but, as I said, I'd rather have an experienced Vet like Kmart if he can contribute.

Kurt is very solid in his role. A guy like Simms never even gets the opportunity to earn the coaches trust on a winning team like the Knicks. Maybe next year if he doesn't sign someone else but I think the Knicks need Kurt.

thats what I was saying. I think Simms looked solid but, I'd rather him stay in the D-League where he will get the play time he needs to improve. If not for Cope, I think he'd have made the roster. I remember towards the end of preseason, the staff were liking what they saw. Nothing flashy but he was solid and made few mistakes out there.

Yep, no rush we'll need him more next season as Kurt will probably be retiring, probably so will Sheed, and maybe even Camby too.

Agreed, we can use Sims youth injection next season, since this will probably be Sheed's last hurrah as a Knick.

Like you said, I can envision some retirements after this season, which should open some roster spots in the frontcourt.

I would not mind adding Sims but think Chis Johnson of D League and now on Twolves 10 day contract is much better/athletic/explosive
With Pekovic coming back and Stimensa on the roster, Chris Johnson might not get another contract with Twolves

Chris Johnson
Position: PF/C
Height: 6-11
Weight: 210
Born: Jul 17, 1985
His shot blocking/DEF/rebounding athleticism, young legs, and ability to run the floor would surely help our DEFENSE with our injured PF/C's

I have a clip of him on the other thread from youtube vs the Nets
