One of the big factors in winning is that the Knicks shot basically 60% from downtown 16-27.
No defense. Tons of 3s. Where have we seen this movie before?
Yes, Woodson has adapted parts of the MDA playbook.
Fact is we shoot the 3 pretty good. Melo leads the league in shots taken.
And the wins keep coming. Could MDA have done well with this roster? Who knows.
I got slamed by the Dolanites and StarMooby's for suggesting this and the "Fableistic" tendancy was to digest as saying "MDA" won the game. Not at all, we are past that.
Remember Woodsons legacy as understudy to Larry Brown. Larry is UNC alum, so is Felton, and Larry also coached Felton. Woodson gets Felton. Woodson then coached the ATL and did a very good job but if anything he was not overly creative on offense. His completion was an abbreviated stint under MDA and its all very easy to understand elements of Bobby Knight, Larry, and MDA will find its way into his style.
Its far from MDA but when you have good shooters you spread the offense out and nice things happen.
Maybe Woodson even got "find the open man" from his year with Red!
Woodsons Beard still freaks me out. My Plasma TV does very deep blacks. His beard is not human. Its an abyss.
