Enabled over his entire career by awestruck doofuses,

Coasted through basketball ranks on an uncanny scoring touch, an ability as unique in its prowess as it is in its complete isolation from the greater context of the game,

Lucky to be exceptionally skilled at the most superficial component of basketball, and completely devoid of depth in any other element of the sport,

So innately gifted in a single component that he never faced the challenge of necessity to grow beyond his comfort zone,

Stagnant over a decade-long career, reaching his zenith in his early 20s,

Subtle decay well established at an age when most players are just beginning to revel in the furious expression of their peaks,

Launching more threes every season, the sure sign of an uninspired retreat to the safety net of the long-ball,

LeBron shooting two less threes this year than in his Cavalier days, the mark of a heroic ambition for mastery of all components of his profession,

---

To the usual suspects: save your keystrokes and your rote defenses, this one is for the readers with eyes to see and the ears to hear.

Grain of salt but trolls (over the internet) ruin places and forums such as realgm, this one and every other sports message board that's ever been created. Well, they attempt to at least. That's expected, although it's never worked against me. These types of threads actually feed examples on how to show and/or prove how clueless some basketball fans truly are. They leave enough evidence without knowingly exposing themselves as 'love you when you're up before kicking you while your down' types of fans and/or trolls. They're everywhere. That'll never change. Believe it or not, but it's gone on since the beginning of sports. Depressed men who spend their life harping over certain players. For whatever reason(s) too.

These types of posters who actually create threads such as "Melo is just a loser" and/or attempt to make it "Melo vs Stoudemire" are the same fans who would've stated "Ewing is a loser" after retiring as a HOF player with zero rings. Or, better yet, tried/attempted to turn Roger Maris and Mickey Mantle (Melo/Stoudemire) against each other on their quest to break Babe Ruth's 1927 single-season home run record of 60 HR's, during the 1961 season.

Where am I going with this? Long time Knick fans will understand where I'm coming from. The one's who appreciate our franchise history will. Why?

Because under Melo, we're currently first place of our Atlantic Division until proven otherwise. Something in which we haven't won since 1994 and only two times under Ewing. Who I loved with everything I had during my childhood days throughout the entire 90's. But here in 2012-2013, Melo's has led us while putting us in position to win something in which could (potentially) become very special to our Knicks history. Which is an Atlantic Division banner.

But you know what? This thread is all about crapping all over Melo. As if 10-15 other threads crapping all over Melo weren't good enough. It's the same 5-7 posters too. We all know who they are. No need to mention any names. Not yet at least. IronWillGiroud is only one of (few) Melo harpers/critics. And he just so had to create another thread for Melo hatred. As if him telling our forum that "Melo's a loser" was a reason to create another thread about it.

Melo's a loser? Nice to know. Care to speak upon it with actual insight?

Melo's such a loser, where he currently ranked top 4 in NBA scoring (Durant, Melo, Kobe and LeBron). Melo's such a loser but yet, we're 41 games into the regular season and Melo's led us to first place of our Atlantic Division and second place of the entire Eastern Conference (even without the likes of Jason Kidd for 5 games, Raymond Felton for 12 games, Kurt Thomas for 15 games, Rasheed Wallace for 21 games, Marcus Camby for 26 games, Amar'e Stoudemire for 30 games and Iman Shumpert for 37 games). Melo's such a loser but yet, during Melo's first (full) season as a Knick; he's led us to first place of the Atlantic Division and second place of the entire Eastern Conference.[/b]

I actually enjoy childish threads such as this one. "Melo is such a loser". Let's continue talking about it. Shall we?

Maybe the original poster can answer these questions. Mind you I know all of these answers to my questions in which are being asked (to begin with). I'm only testing overall (basketball) knowledge in regards to the original poster. Also seeing if he's hear to troll or talk basketball. I believe he'll refuse to answer these questions. Why? Because he'll either be exposed as clueless or truthfully doesn't know the answers.

1a.) How many NCAA Tourney's (basketball) has Syracuse been to/entered dating back to 1957?

1b.) How many NCAA Nation Championships (basketball) has Syracuse University won dating back 1900-1901?

1c.) Which year did Syracuse win their first (and only) National Championship?

1d.) Who was the Big East Rookie of the Year?

1e) Who was the NCAA Tournament Most Outstanding Player?

2a.) What was Denver's record the season before the drafting of Carmelo Anthony?

2b.) How many consecutive seasons/years did the Denver Nuggets miss the postseason prior to the drafting of Carmelo Anthony?

2c.) What was Denver's record during Carmelo Anthony's rookie season?

2d.) How many consecutive seasons/years did the Denver Nuggets make the postseason post (after) the drafting of Carmelo Anthony?

3a.) How many Atlantic Division Titles has our Knicks franchise won?

3b.) When's the last time the Knicks have won an Atlantic Division title?

3c.) When's the last time the Knicks were first place of the Atlantic Division 41 games into the regular season?

3d.) When's the last time our Knicks were second seed of the entire Eastern Conference 41 games into the regular season?

3e.) Who's the last Knick to rank top 3 in scoring 41 games into the regular season?

3f.) Are the Knicks not 1st place of the Atlantic and 2nd place of the East during only Melo's first (full) season as a Knick?

These are questions that most of these Melo critics refuse to answer.

Please answer these questions. Or else I will. One way or another, these questions are getting answered in order to expose how much of a "loser" Melo truthfully is. I may even start a thread about it too. Showing Melo's winning ways and/or what he's done (as a franchise player) for franchise after franchise (Syracuse, Denver and New York).

In closing, if these forums were around during the early through mid 90's era with Riley, Starks, Oakley, Ewing and Mason? Riley would have been attacked over the internet due to fans being upset he won rings with the Lakers, but not with our Knicks. Starks would have been called out for being overrated on defense after Jordan dropped 50 inside the Garden (with the flu) and/or Starks would have been called a "chucker" as in J.R Smith. Starks would have also been killed over the internet for not being a strong enough sidekick for Ewing ala Pippen. Ewing would have been murdered as the most overrated center of all-time due to playoff eliminations against Chicago, Indy, Miami, Houston and being hurt during SA's Finals appearances before finishing with zero rings. It would've happened. Thank god I wasn't around to see it either.

It's happening to Melo now. But only over the internet. Madison Square Garden faithful love Carmelo Anthony. We all know he's by far the greatest Knick since Patrick Ewing of his prime years. We understand that even with an injured team, Melo has LED US to fist place of our Atlantic Division and second place of the entire Eastern Conference. 41 games into regular season too.

When's the last time we've been first place of the Atlantic and/or second place of the Entire Eastern Conference?

I don't want to hate, but lately he's been blacker than any hole Einstein could've thought of.

I'm a Knick fan and I root for the Knicks. Not just Carmelo Anthony. So if any given player had played the way Melo has been playing lately, I don't blame the hating sentiment towards him. If you keep missing shots, why keep taking the same horrible shots? If they're open shots, I understand, but he has repeatedly kept shooting difficult shots after already establishing that he has an off night. Where's the respect for his teammates?

With that said, it's not like he's unable to play "the right way". He just needs to get his head straight and the rest will come.

The title is harsh but we have nothing but threads like "Melo is an MVP," "Melo is as good as Durant," and "Melo is the toughest player in the world to guard." A little balance is good.
