Amare & Melo both had 9 rebounds & we beat Boston on the boards. As Riley said years ago "No REBOUNDS, No RINGS"

I don't think we should read much into that. Boston is one of the worst rebounding teams in the league. Rebounds/game they're ranked 29th, opponent's rebounds/game they're 21st, offensive rebounding% they're 29th, and defensive rebounding% they're 12th. I think a lot of people are reading too much into us barely beating a team that's not even winning half their games.
Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

Your opinion is your opinion but we need them both to average 8-9 rebounds in order for the team to be successful, so i will take it as a positive sign. However if your one of those "fans" that prefers to see the glass as 1/2 empty so be it...

Amare looked really good and seemed to be finding his place playing with Melo and Tyson. Also, that zone d they played with Amare on the court was awesome.

I liked his game last nite. Foul trouble aside he played under control and the Reb's were important. He is starting to attack the basket again which is getting him to the line.

He is not the freak he was in PHX but if he can continue to incorperate the Hakeem shake and other fundamentals there is hope he can still be a big contributer to our team. Melo is looking to pass to him inside. The spacing seems better these days than under MDA.

Boston is still a tough defensive team and KG/Bass are tough to play against.

We win because Pierce was crap.

Road win in Boston is always big!

+1. I loved to see him actually fighting for those rebounds, not just having them fall into his lap. STAT's reiterated several times, his goal this season is to improve on defense. He may never be a great defender by anymeans, but there does seem to be more of an effort on that end.

I'd like to see some more zone in short stretches when STAT's on the floor. Looked more comfortable in it.

It was good to see, it was even better to see on my fantasy roster, STAT filling it up!

At the same time, I want to see this on a consistent basis, he can do it, NO OFF NIGHTS AMAR'E! NO OFF NIGHTS!

Alan Hahn was whining last night before the game about Stat not starting now.
He doesn't understand it.
I suppose media types just want performance, conservative injury treatment be dayumed.

I'm glad Stat's still coming off the bench. We were floundering in the second half and no one could hit an open jumper, and we were getting looks from the elbows. J White took it to the rack twice, got his sheehit rejected the first time, and then scored the next time.

Stat came in and scored almost immediately right at the rim. Nice. Off a pass from Melo. Even nicer.

Let him get in foul trouble. I'd rather see fouls than uncontested layups. And the longer Stat's in the game, the more times we are going to the line. Which is key to winning in the playoffs, my friends.

If Stat can give 20 minutes like that every night, why change it??

The Offense was very good, but the defense/rebounds was the biggest part of his game. He didn't give any of his production from his offense back on defense.

I think a big part of that was the zone freed up the thinking part of defense for him and he was extra committed.

I've never seen Stat guard the paint that well and rebound. Last night was shockingly good.

+1 I should've mentioned that also. I was incredibly impressed with not only STATS 2 official rejections but also his 2 goaltends. They may still count as buckets but they still set a tone of "you can't bring that weak ish in here", which we definitely need in the playoffs.

I dont mind him coming off the bench as long as he finish the game on the floor, but if him and felton start clicking then, things may have to change..over all, 28 min a night should keep him fresh

I agree,

the problem will surface in the long term, when we need to make roster moves and his max deal is like an anvil on our throats
