Talk of a 3 team trade Howard(BK), Lopez(Minn) and Love(LA)

Tyson matches up well against Howard

Hack-a-Howard is fun

Clearly on paper Howard is better than Lopez. 17pts on an extremely off year, 12rebs and 2.5blks. Lopez having a good year with the offense running through him but its not even close.

Lakers screwed up hiring Dantoni. Now they will lose Howard for nothing after all they went through to get him unless he is traded by Feb 21st.

If not Brooklyn then Dallas, Houston, Washington or Atlanta

I would be surprised if rockets does not make a play for Howard. Pairing him with Harden would be big. It will cost them Asik, Lin, TJones and Smith probably.

although dwight can be a fool, he still just not long ago was near dominant... putting him in brooklyn, if he gets comfortable, isn't a good thing for us or the east.. LOL... Tyson has had good games vs dwight, but keep it real.. I think dwight will eat his lunch in a series.... let howard stay in LA and endure that circus right now.. he asked for it.. He got it!!!

That's a good trade for BK and LA. Dwight, even this hobbled version, is still way better than Lopez. Plus, he's only 27 and less than a year removed from back surgery to fix his herniated disc; I think there's still a good chance that he can come back and be the player he was before the injury. LA getting Love kills them defensively but should help them out offensively big time. It would allow Gasol to move to center full time where he's much, much more effective. And Love is a good 3-point shooter so it spaces the floor really well. I don't know why Minnesota does it but I wouldn't put it past them. I'm not a believer in Lopez to begin with and I really don't see how him and Pekovic can play effectively together. I'm imagining it would look something like when we tried to play Curry and ZBo at the same time.

Of course, Cleveland should have been bombarding Minnesota with trade proposals back when Varejao was healthy and putting up 14 and 14 every night. If they had been able to pull off a trade for Love for a package headlined by Varejao then they have two great, young pieces to build around in Irving and Love and we're not discussing Kahn stupidly trading his best player for Brook Lopez.

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

Maybe their big mistake was getting Nash- once they got him it seemed they felt they had to get D'Antoni to maximise his impact on the team. In actual fact, having him as their starting PG aged the team and made them worse defensively. Plus would he ever be a great fit next to Kobe? If they had signed Felton would be have been a better fit?

Hmm, not sure as I suppose who else would they have been able to get as PG? Think they used their traded player exemption and a pick- could that have landed a better PG with that?

Trading for Dwight was actually a good thing, simply because if they'd kept Bynum, they'd have been in the same mess the Sixers are in.

My opinion the Lakers stay pat and see if they can turn this around. If they don't by Feb 21st then Howard goes because they can't possibly fire Dantoni now

I just want trade rumors to cause calamity in their locker room. I'm not a fan of this "1 game behind us" business

Yup. I can see the Nyets pursuing Howard thinking he gets them over the top because realistically right now they have no chance at getting past Miami. Also they will want to make a splash and steal headlines from the Knicks. Hack-A-Howard is fun as well as locker room turmoil!

A trade to Atl would make sense for both teams if anything. Dwight and Blake for Horford, Harris, Korver, or something like that.

If I'm the Nets, I'm not sure I trade Lopez for Howard right now. I guess logic says you have to... but Lopez's PER is way above Dwight and Dwight is absolutely killer with the frequency he misses free throws combined with the fact that he's not a dominant player like Shaq was. If Howard hits even 65% free throws, the Lakers are most likely above .500.
Wishing everyone well. I enjoyed posting here for a while, but as I matured I realized this forum isn't for me. We all evolve. Thanks for the memories everyone.

Lopez fits really well with the Nets and they win a lot with him. The only concern regarding him is the trouble he has had with his foot. Also, from a distance D-Will seems like he might be difficult to coach. Not sure how a D-Will/Howard tandem works out.

He reinjured his shoulder. I think they speculated that he tore his rotator cuff when he first hurt it.

Re-injured shoulder. When the going gets tough you always hear about a phantom injury with this guy

There was a report maybe a month ago that Kahn doesn't like him for some reason.

Really phantom? The guy is a lot of things but c'mon he had been playing through injuries the last two years. It took amar'e a long time to get his explosion after hurting his back too. Now the shoulder thing has been occurring too.
