Wow, you have to feel for the guy. A player that used to annoy me, especially with his flopping, but have grown to respect over the years.
Basketball definitely needs to take a backseat - hope this does not turn out to be anything too severe. Best of luck Anderson!

I agree,some things are more important thaan bball. I hope hes ok and can lead a normal life after all is said and done.

Amazing how this kid can't stay on the court for long stretches. Great motor and talent!

Cav's trading him always made sense.

My dad had a pulmonary embolism a few years ago- it's scary stuff as if undetected it can result in a heart attack or stroke. It's unusual for someone to get it at varejao's age- could be a sign of a blood condition that leads to it clotting easily. I remember my dad was crying out in agony all night as the blood clot passed through his lungs. The medication is nasty stuff too, as they usually give a chemical to dissolve the clot and then some blood thinning medication, which combine to make you feel like absolute s***.

Hope he has a swift recovery.

This is possible after any surgery. He'll be 100% in that dept--no lingering effects after blood thinners are done. But right--scary as heck

Are there symptoms with a Blood clot. Like how do you even know you have clots in your blood?

Depends where it is- if it's in your neck or something, you'll sometimes get a lump. If its in your lung, you get intense pain in your chest.
