With the core players finally getting healthy, what should the starting lineup for the Knicks be?

Personally, in my opinion you have to have Shumpert in the starting lineup just for that energy boost and defensive tone, so for me, that eliminates STAT from the starting 5.

I'm leaning towards the 1st choice, even though the 2nd would be one hell of a lineup.

Felton, Kidd, Shumpert, Anthony, Chandler
Felton, Shumpert, Smith, Anthony, Chandler
Felton, Shumpert, Anthony, Stoudemire, Chandler

That was easy. Option 3. Make Prigs backup point. Kidd becomes emergency backup SG or PG behind JR and Prigs but still getting spot minutes to keep him fresh and keeps JR's leash short. Nothing wrong with saving him incase we break down like last year come playoff time

Melo at the 4 is a disaster defensively and on the boards. Especially with Sheed and Camby out. Option 1 will not be the starting lineup. Option 2 is not realistic

I could see the Kidd health benefits to that option. Guess some boards by Amare is better than no boards.

Yes exactly. Not just the extra boards but his size and his ability to block and alter the shots of bigger players. Melo doesn't stand a chance at that

Anji brought up a good point in the other thread. It's going to be hard to start Amare until Sheed or Camby return to back up Tyson DAMN

I guess we will role with Tyson Melo Cope Shump Felton for now

As long as shump is in the lineup I think we are good to go. It seems like he had more of an impact on yesterdays game than I thought. This is what a writer on ESPn said.

Jared Zwerling‏@JaredZwerling

When Shumpert was on the court yesterday, the Pistons shot 30.8 percent. Off the court? 50.9 percent.

Jared Zwerling‏@JaredZwerling

When Shumpert was playing, the #Knicks got the ball inside more. 40.9% of FG attempts were in restricted area. 14.0% when he was on bench.

Yes he really sparked the defense as the Knicks finally got off to a good start. Only 2nd time in 13 games we had a 1st quarter lead. The only other time was against the Spurs

I don't want Amare to, I don't think it's a good move for the Knicks to put such a bad defensive player in the starting line up.

Melo with Cope at the 3 is worst tho. You rather start Sheed or Camby if they ever get back? Don't know if you can count on them starting. They old

or JR Smith at SF? Not a good idea

Shump needs to defend the backcourt. Having him defend the SF is not a good idea either

I think we will have a little case study in the up coming weeks.

I don't think anybody is as bad as Amare.

But I would rather one of old guys to start the guy, just to stable the first 6 minutes of the game and second half for the team. I think that is the best option we have.
