I dont understand why the knicks aren't talking about the first seed in the east!
all the writers/t.v people are talking about other teams and take that as a fact like the heat are locked as the first seed!
the heat are easying their way to the last two months of the season and the knicks when healthy are a very deep team.

if we go on a winning streak we can get the first seed!

It would be talked a lot more about if we didn't just lose 3 consecutive games to conference rivals. Two of which were without their 2 best players Rose and Granger. the other Boston was the 8th seed at the time. Let's hope we can put together a big time winning streak once fully healthy.

Right now with 1 game in 8 days the Knicks have to sit back and hope Indy, Chicago & Brooklyn don't over take them as 2nd seed

Wow, a vacation in the middle of the season. Hopefully, some of our wounded warriors get well and are able to contribute

when healthy the knicks have the best team in the east in my mind!

Knicks can do it, but they have to snap the funk immediately.

Heat is weak and they are underachieving, we have to take advantage while the iron is hot, you gotta make swords when the iron is malleable.

Half game back right now, easy road rest of January, gotta pounce like wild animals

won't be easy in the east, knicks really has to keep at it all season, can't afford to have many slumps like we just had

Yea it's not so much that it was a 3 game losing streak. Its 3 straight games vs conference rivals and a bad stretch of 15 game or so where the defense vanished. Spurs game was the only time we saw the same defensive intensity as early in the year. Need to start a winning streak now that we're getting healthy

yea it was the 15 or so games where the play was noticeably lackadaisical, they were fortunate to pull wins out, but overall they have to really sharpen the teeth

I think the Knicks are gonna get back on the horse starting with the London Game. I think teams go thru these kinds of stretches during a season, especially if they have significant injuries. I think they might have lost a few games, but having Felton and Sheed go down just made the losing stretch longer.

STAT will eventually get his game back a bit more. Melo will get his legs back along with Tyson after the rest they've gotten. We'll be getting Shump and Felton back and over time I think the team will get it's 2nd wind and start dominating again.

1 through 8 in the East are only separated by FIVE games. That's amazing.

Agreed; best record in the NBA would be better but that's probably not doable.

Not going to happen unless OKC and LAC get into a funk for a couple weeks. I say if the Knicks can be 33-17 by the All Star break (9-4 from now until the break) we have a super good chance of getting the 1 seed. But I'll take top 2.

Best case scenario is us at the 2 seed, Miami at #1 with Chicago and Boston at 4-5. That way, let's say Indiana or Brooklyn make it to the 2nd round and we contend with them rather than the winner of Chi/Bos, who Miami would have to deal with.

That's a perfect scenario for the Knicks if the get #2 seed. Gives us the clearest path to the ECF with either Miami, Chicago or Boston battered after 2 grueling rounds.

That would be a good scenario. Avoid Chicago, Boston and Miami at all cost

To be the man............... avoiding teams solves nothing.

That's true but another 1st round sweep exit would entirely suck

Knicks just need to play there best, that's all good teams try to do.
