Thought it was pretty interesting, their words and emotions, and enjoyed the show, although quite long
Lin gives credit to our DEFENSE for the run as one of the top defensive teams during that time
Chandler
Jeffries
Iman
With Iman putting pressure on the ball, Tyson *rim protector* and Jeffries as the help defender, they understood the pressure would allow the passing lane to be open
were the big 3 in our defensive schemes and Lin, JR Smith, Fields played off that
He looks to get Novak in situations where he is utilized and is effective with another person setting him a pick OFF THE BALL *JEFFRIES*
While, we were not very talented, we played with chemistry, and used brains/BB IQ that Lin brings with his ability to penetrate.
He utilized all players on the floor and attacked the defense to find a weakness
He always gave up the ball to the open man, and everyone on the roster understood that, playing off it, and got rewarded
As smart as Kidd is, he just does not have the ability, speed, quickness to initiate the offense
By playing the PG, exerting more energy on both ends, we also lose a 3point shooter to spread the floor
It was a huge mistake not to keep Lin, who cares about year 3 when we have 2 years before it
What is 100m in payroll while having multiple 100m + salaries during the 2000-2010 decade
It is the same reason why Laker's are struggling, they opted not to resign Sessions and NOT use their mini MLE for Jodie Meek's
Had they kept Sessions and say signed Delfino which I really wanted and was available for a long time as a FA, I do not believe they would be much better
Instead they tried to save a 10-15m *after taxes* while they are already the highest paying team with no youth/young legs/shooters, it completely wastes nearly half a billion after taxes that they are already invested in salaries for the next couple of years
Pablo is a 3rd string PG, he is our back up PG, and Kidd is NOT a PG
Sadly, he probably would do a better job starting at PG than Kidd
There must be penetration in our starting lineup, as well as shooters, and we have none with our injuries
It doesn't have to come from our PG but it MUST COME from somewhere in our starting lineup, a reason why some of us has been pushing JR Smith to start
Is bigger better?
We got bigger with playing Melo at the 3 vs the PF but he loses the ability to post up, penetrate, handle the ball, and create shot's for himself as well as the team
We got better with rebounds but we are horrible with the injuries
Sure, we were smaller, but we were much quicker, and better defensively
Sliding Kidd from SG to PG, makes us ineffective, and I have been pushing for PG that could penetrate
We are trying to play with the same philosophy as we started the season with, but we do not have the players to run that system
Leading to Melo/JR Smith chucking up shots and missing
Had we kept Lin, which we could have, even with our additions, I do not think we would be in this mess we are in now
Hopefully Iman can come back healthy, and bring some penetration, along with his DEFENSE
But of course, Melo's along with Dolan's ego were in the way
Kenyon Martin and a PG *Janerro Pargo??** that could penetrate would surely help this team right now
Kurt Thomas is not a PF, he is a undersized Center in today's NBA game, the game has evolved from the early 1990's/ early 2000's
We are missing speed/quickness on both ends of the floor, as well as 3point shooting to spread the floor
