Woodson said Iman Shumpert will go with the Knicks to London and could make his season debut there against Pistons.

Desperate times call for desperate measures. Wouldn't be surprised if Woodson inserts him right into the starting lineup lol

A tear of joy just rolled down my cheek! Should really temper my expectations, but regardless of how he plays, I'm really happy for him considering he has a great attitude and has put in a lot of work to get to this point.

I think we should start shumpert even though we have always worked in players coming back from injury off the bench and have James White as the first shooting guard off the bench/WoodsonthinkingofkeepingJRinhisplace.

I don't think they are- wasn't his initial time scale 6 to 8 months, and we're onto the 9th month. From a health point I don't see what difference it makes whether he plays in the D League or practice or actual nba games- it's the same risk. The thing is he doesn't get time to work on his timing and get some confidence, so he's going to have to find it on the fly. As you can see with Amar'e, that takes a while. I'd say at least a month. With Shump it's going to take longer as he has to get used to his new ACL. Hopefully he's looking pretty good by the playoffs.

Well they don't play til London on thursday. So Shump will get plenty of 5 on 5 practice and maybe even get in a game or two with Erie

Camby out 2 to 4 weeks but #Knicks won't rush to Kenyon as they await Wallace's potential return in London http://nyp.st/WMbt0J

Really hope they're not rushing these guys back

Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

I suppose it depends on when they actually fly to London- If I were them I'd go ASAP and have a few days away from things in London, so they can get re-focused.

True. Besides i don't think Woodson ever mentioned playing with Erie. It was something Hahn suggested

Shump and Rose had the same injury roughly around the same time, right? Rose is about a month away from action, so....

did Rose tear his acl and mcl like Shump?

I think the Bulls are being more cautious with their franchise player

what are you guys asking about. they both got injured the same day, and rose had his surgery two weeks later due to swelling and strengthening.

The guy has been rehabbing for a long time, I think they know when he is ready.

No two are a like. Maybe Rose needs more time.

He is a max player and maybe they are being cautious. The Bulls doing just fine and can bring him in slow.

Bodies are not the same.
