my keys to a knick victory:

carmelo shoots no more than 18 shots but gets to the line 11-12 times. ju-jitsu the defensive aggression. ball and head fakes melo and no offensive fouls.

smith shoots no more than 14 shots, gets to the line 7-8 times, and collects 5 assists.

novak gets 4 good looks from 3

prigioni gets 8+ assists

make boozer have a typical fool's gold game.

limit noah's offensive rebounds to 2 or less

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

I wonder how this whole KG and suspension thing will affect Melo's performance- he's been focused up until now, hope this incident hasn't rattled him. Our front court is decimated (Sheed and Camby out, Tyson with neck spasms not guaranteed to play, Amar'e on minutes restriction- also not guaranteed to play due to it being a back to back) so the accursed Joakim Noah will probably dominate- cant stand him.

Don't want to lose to the bulls again, but they seem to have our number this season.

He would, but he's one of those kinds of players who I'd love if on my team, but find annoying as an opponent.

well lets face it the common denominator here is a pressing and aggressive defense which the knicks have yet to figure out. what's different is that the bulls are not as sneaky in terms of trash talk.

if woodson can run melo off of screens and staggered screens and keep him away from being jammed he should be ready to bounce back. the key is melo needs to be comfortable out there. then again, if his legs are starting to go then his shot will not be there... just like last game. his legs should still be there this early in the season and he is well rested. alternatively, if he is going to be jammed he has got to find a way to draw fouls and get to the line, ju-jitsuing the defensive aggressiveness. i'd say he needs to get to the line 11-12 times tonight.

Didn't know about Tyson, that sucks. We really are the walking wounded these days but I don't believe having this many players out or just hurting at the same time is going to last, at least I hope it doesn't.

Getting Shump and Felton back should give this team a boost not just roster wise but emotionally, its been a rough month or so. I hope Felton comes back playing like he did earlier in the season. Hope the player we saw by the time he got hurt stays at home.

i dont feel too good about tonight. the Bulls and the Rockets have the Knicks number. Also with Camby/Sheed out Noah and Boozer will kill us down low on the baords. I Keep wishing the November Knicks would return because lets be honest the zknicks have been pretty mediocre for a month now

I want to see the knicks show some toughness. Not just physically but mentally. Taems know that if you get under the knicks skin you will beat them. No more whining to refs and no more picking fights because a players makes a cheerio comment

The outcome dare I say depends on Melo.
If he'll get frustrated and pissed off like last time and doesn't shoot well, than this is a loss.
If he'll feel comfortable and get 30+ with around 50% shooting than we should win this.
I don't believe we'll be swept by the Bulls :) especialy without D-Rose.

Considering CHI has great team D designed by Thibs and a great defender in Deng Melo is gonna have to work. Mehinks Chicago forces him to pass and getting a W hinges on how well everyone else moves the ball off of Melo being doubled
