Someone reported that he could only appeal for lost wages not to play.

If he sits out this game and we lose this might have some bearing on the playoffs record and we need home court advantage. If we win both of these games, indy and bulls, who cares about the hornets?

The Somberistas will then point to the loss to one of the worst teams in the league as the pivotal point in the season where we lost the chance at a redemption chip.

Nice to know. Wonder why they're even playing the games...

Too funny.

The Knicks lost everybody, the Knicks already lost.

Game Over

Playoffs Over.

Season Over.

Franchise Over.

NBA Collapses.

Somberistas then move to the hockey boards, on their way to the Hot Stove Baseball Fantasy League GM blog.

Redundantly Tiring. Very.
Hey, how about in this new year, each Somberite starts a completely, non-sarcastic positive Knicks thread?
In response, all us Dolan-hugging Knick homer fable groupies will try our hand at Melo hate threads?

We can beat the hornets without Melo.

Odds appear to not be in Knicks favor, just like Celtics without Rondo against us, so I wouldn't be surprised if we win. Teams always have a knack for somehow playing better (or the other team underestimates) when the star is out

It's far from a guarantee that Indy will beat us,

When a Star is out, guys go into the game with a different mentality, a different role,

Plenty of experienced players on Knicks, should be a good game and I predict win

Glanced at the highlights of Indy's win over Miami. They have to be sky high. Indy will think this is a cake game.

I say, let the kids run tonight! JR and JWhite on the floor. We get them off balance early. And Woody threatens to skin any and everyone who doesn't defend the perimeter like a rabid animal for the whole time they are on the floor, no matter how low your SS# is.

Defend and push it. Allow NO spot up, check your feet, line up, test the windage three attempts! Contest EVERYTHING!

Clyde used to say, '10' them off the floor!

JR will need to have a career night

No Melo and No Felton versus a conference rival playing great ball

I'd feel better if we had Felton. As bad as he played since he got the first hand injury, he defends and gets into the paint. JR is the only guy that can do that right now. When we're without Melo AND Felton it's tough. It took a buzzer beater to beat Phoenix and we were down 26 to Sacramento.

Bottom line, to beat a quality team without Melo we have to play mistake free. Limit turnovers, get Chandler easy buckets< Novak has to hit shots and JR has to do his thing. I don't count on much from STAT, but isn't it strange that no one is even discussing him as someone that needs to step up tonight? He'll only have 15-20 minutes, but hopefully they are quality minutes.

If Amare didn't have a minutes restriction you could coun't on him. 11 pts on 4 for 10 shooting spotty defense and rebounding in 20mins won't make up for Melo being out

Without Melo, it's the Chris Copeland show!

We'll need him to step to the plate and deliver at least half of Melo's average, and the rest split amongst the rest of the team.

Ronnie Brewer needs a career night and shut down paul George. I'm interested to seeing how Camby's length affects David West.

Serious question - I didnt watch much of the Bulls outside of nationally televised games when Brewer was with them. Was he really a lock-down defender?

Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

No. Was forced to start a while when Rose went down in season. Was quickly replaced in the starting lineup by Jimmy Butler

Ok maybe lock-down defender was the wrong term but he was at least a great defender, no? When we signed him all I heard was how his defense would help our team a lot.

Chris Copeland only needs to be aware of defensive rotations and not play like a rookie.

7 rebounds would be nice.
