yes stress fracture or "Sore foot" "stress reaction" as the Knicks call it is no joke.

I say go for it. Defense is slipping. Kmart can play the jeffries role but better. Can guard inside and out

I am for this move if it means we cut brewer. I am getting flashbacks of Fields with brewer starting at the 2 guard. We also know that Kmart can defend well.

it's very obvious that K-Mart is being brought in as Melo's personal bodyguard justlike Oakley (& Michael Graham at G-Town) was for Patrick Ewing. I for one say hallelujah cause K-mart is the type that will smack a Beeyatch *** KG into next week if he tries that crap again.

I've been calling for Kenyon Martin dating back to last offseason. I really want Kenyon Martin to become our next Knick. The definition of toughness. Will help us off the boards as well. High energy off the bench.

Tyson Chandler.
Amar'e Stoudemire.
Marcus Camby.
Kenyon Martin.
Rasheed Wallace.
Kurt Thomas.

Fully loaded with big men come postseason play.

We can put Sheed on the ir and take KMart and dont hafta cut anyone til down the road. Am I wrong?

I wouldn't IR Sheed, not if he'll be able to return by postseason play I wouldn't. James White would become the player I'd cut in replace of Kenyon.

You can put Sheed on the DL and have him rehab with the Knicks Single A affliate in Topeka, Kansas City. When he is ready to return use him in mop up duty in the pen to keep the other guys fresh for the playoffs

As Rasheed Wallace's foot injury lingers, the New York Knicks are showing a renewed interest in free-agent forward Kenyon Martin, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

Kenyon Martin spent last season with the Clippers. The Knicks have done some additional fact-finding on Martin in recent days, sources said. Martin has been open-minded about the possibility of accepting a 10-day contract to get the opportunity to prove his value to the Knicks, sources said.

Wallace has missed 12 straight games with what the Knicks call a "stress reaction" in his left foot. The uncertainty surrounding Wallace's return has made the Knicks circle back on the possibility of signing Martin, sources said. Wallace's status is the "critical piece" to the Knicks signing Martin, one league official said. Martin, 35, played the most reduced role of his career with the Los Angeles Clippers in his 12th season in 2011-12. The Knicks' roster includes four former teammates of Martin that he's has good relationships with: Carmelo Anthony, J.R. Smith, Marcus Camby and Jason Kidd.

It'll be weird to possibly see both Kenyon Martin and Jason Kidd as Knicks. I still remember the whole Fugazy incident and K-Mart walking around with the back page taped to him to mock Tim Thomas.

I read an article that said Thomas was laughing about the Knicks having guys on the team who were older than him and would consider coming back for a contender. Wasn't a fan of his but he sounds a bit more mature than he was in his playing days. Would rather have Martin on the Knicks than Thomas, thats for sure.

Last year picked up Dan G then dropped OG Walker and that was a BIG mistake. If we Martin, Thomas has to go.

Word. I was calling for this on this website during the summer. Bring him into the fold and the Knicks get better at post D, and we need that. I wanna see K-Mart in the blue and orange.

Not that I'm not happy with Kurt but, Martin might be the better defender of the two and, if nothing else, we need a big who's reputation for NOT taking any shyt on the floor. I wasn't pleased with Chandler continuing to be chummy with Garnette during the game after he started with Anthony. Not saying he should have gotten involved but, that he should have been all business instead of buddy buddy.
