I agree with Anji. Putting smith and Amar'e on the bench for that offensive punch should create a nice spark, at least for when Shumpert gets himself completely into it.

I don't agree with Woodson though. Now nobody in the league is worried about having a nice punch off the bench but us. Every team in the league plays their best two team first and then worries about the bench, except for us.

C: Tyson Chandler.
PF: Amar'e Stoudemire.
SF: Carmelo Anthony.
2G: J.R Smith.
PG: Raymond Felton.

C: Marcus Camby.
PF: Rasheed Wallace.
SF: Steve Novak.
2G: Iman Shumpert.
PG: Jason Kidd.

That to me, is our best starting 5 followed by our best backup 5.

Now, come postseason play, I really think we're going to need Ronnie Brewer's defense. Mix (a 100% fully healthy) Brewer with Shumpert on the perimeter? Forget about it.

I dont like Camby with Weed. Camby cant score anymore--so hes better paired with Amare. Weed stretches the floor on unit 1 which gives Felton space to do his thing. And weed is our best defender.

I agree with Briggs....This is our best starting 5. I like Wallace over Amare because Rasheed is a 3pt threat and he will create open lanes for Melo to operate. Wallace is also a better rebounder, defender and defensive vocal leader on the court than Amari.....

Amari in the second unit will have the room to operate down low or pick and rolls....

Wallace can't even stay on the court let alone start games. Woodson will not put Smith in the starting lineup over Amare, Shump and Kidd

Manu Ginobili has come off the bench for the Spurs for almost his entire career.

Knicks don't have Tony Parker. Hell Knicks don't Have Danny Green, there is no reason to make JR come off the Bench he he is defensively as good as any other guard we have.

If this was the Ewing Knicks JR would be starting. This is the Melo and Amare Knicks. JR can't start. Manu can't start with Duncan and Parker

Valid points...I think a healthy shump is a better starter especially during the playoffs....im struggling with kidd right now as the starter.

because Kidd is playing PG. It remains to be seen if Woodson will eventually start Shump or stick with the Felton/Kidd backcourt.

I personally don't see the Parker in our equation, do you??? It makes no sense, the best two-way team should start.
