Where do we go from here? it's difficult to say,

Melo, our best guy, in his MVP season, now he's out 5 games at least (my prediction),

Great chance for Amar'e to step up, drop buckets, show what he has so we can trade him

Didn't see this thread and started one asking the question as to why would he get suspended..Suppose he just went to talk to the guy, they have known each other for yrs and never had any bad blood..Then again, the person who instigated the (riot) should be the one that gets punish.. No blows were thrown, no words exchange, as a matter of fact, there wasn't even a face to face cause KG was no where to be found, just a pissed off melo waiting.

I think a fine would suffice..

Soon to come: statitical analysis revealing that Melo's true shortcoming is reducible win sharing teammate betterment ratio due to irrational behaviour spikes at critical junctures within divisional play with teams currently greater or equal to 5 games back in the loss column.

With a why Paul Pierce is obviously better subthread.

after I heard about the honeycomb thing, how Lala tastes like honenut oats, then that was it for me, now I think Melo shouldn't be suspended at all, but he will still probably get 3 games at least if not 5, Stern has to send a message, there will be no funny stuff in the hallways

What kind of message would that be? No punches were thrown and he went to talk to the guy after the game. Tyson's scuffle with Noah was worse and there were no suspensions. They should let this go.

He will be fined or suspended for a game or two max. I don't think anything he did warrants a 5 game suspension.

5 games? It'll be over the top with a one game suspension. Let alone 5.

But yea, Melo won't state what was said, but I still wanna know what K.G stated to get Melo so heated. And good for Melo. Good for standing up to the punk K.G. K.G will attack smaller guards 24/7 but is a pure coward of a man when it comes to Melo. Melo would have beat the living piss out of K.G.

statistical analysis is not necessary. the game is 90% mental, according to jordan. melo lacks poise, which is an extension of his game which continues to lack craft and guile. where are the head fakes and ball fakes? meanwhile walt frazier admiringly observed that pierce is cool, slick, never in a rush. the implication is that melo is in too much of a hurry... and melo reinforces this with taking too many quick shots often on adrenaline or in "retaliation."

melo's lack of poise is going to be a significant factor come playoff time. if he can't play within himself then he needs to have the offense cater to his needs by making sure woody has one or multiple screens set for him. as it is his usg 34.2/ast 12.2 ratio is an abominable 2.8. that usage rate is a career high while the assist rate is at a career low-- this means that woodson is catering to melo.

knicks win 38-43 games in 16-17. rose MUST shoot no more than 14 shots per game, defer to kp6 + melo, and have a usage rate of less than 25%

Yes, a lack of poise. We all know how everyone was talking up PP's Poise before the inaugural Starphucque occurred in Celtic land. Does Melo ever make any of those quick shots? Gee, he is scoring almost 30 ppg, and by golly, look, the team he plays for is at the top of the division! How the f*&k did that happen taking and missing all those stupid retaliation shots. And imagine Woody, catering to an offensive machine. How dare he!
