Next question is does Melo get suspended for Indy game?

Assuming KG and the Celtics weren't too happy with Melo's pregame comments

Notice Woodson trying to calm Melo down

What did Melo say that was so bad? That they don't think about the Celtics? That can't be it.

But Melo is not known to be a hot head so whatever it is, it must have been bad...bad enough to want to confront him. KG is a punk.

I'm curious to know what KG said. Somethings are off limits. I am by no means a violent person and I don't advocate violence. But if you make personal attacks about my family or someone I love, you will get an ear full and you will hear it in person.

How about we reserve judgement until we know more.

My first question was where his teammates were but I'm glad they weren't there and Woody was.

I think that playing the 4 all season and being beaten up/roughed up without many calls in the paint has become truly frustrating for Carmelo, and between that and whatever KG said, it all boiled over last night.

The Knicks need to develop strategies on dealing with physical play. The Grizz, Bulls, and now the C's have taken them out of their game plans by being physical with them, and you can bet the Pacers are going to do the same on Thursday. If they don't find a way to overcome this, teams will continue to believe that they can beat the Knicks by pushing them around.

Melo leads the league in Techs.

Melo's style, where he shoots from, and tenacious offensive rebounding after his own shot does create contact. Its is job to get contact. Its his job to leave a pound of flesh on the court. KG will offend anyone to gain an advantage. KG was cool, melo lost it.

Celtics won the game. It was embarassing for a coach and security to have to keep melo from himself. 20mm a year and they guy is going to risk injury or suspension? Game is over. KG got to be laughing his ass off.

Melo is not cool like Bernard King.

Apology coming from a fan for a player who coined his play as BULLY BALL!!!!

Get Real....one thing we all know about Bullies....they hate getting punched back absolutely can't stand it and when they do they have no idea what to do. This is what we witnessed yesterday and a few other times this season with this team in particular Melo. It's becoming a trend.

What are you talking about?? Melo didn't get confrontational until KG kneed him in the groin and threw a cheap blow at Amare after the whistle. We have no idea what KG was saying to Melo and it's a few rumors going around that he said something about his wife. My question is, have we seen Melo lose it like this? No! So obviously it's more to just being physical on the court smh.

And by the way, if Melo's getting suspended so is J.R and Shumpert(before he even returns)!! They were outside the bus as well, which tells me it was deeper and much more personal than what we know. As fans, let's just hope it doesn't come down to anyone losing playing time.

I can see Rondo getting suspended again too as he got off the bus and/or approached Melo slightly. He was already on thin ice with suspension from being able to play yesterday.

KG is included as one of the Bullies who doesn't like to get punched back. Garnett is notorious for his antics and didn't do anything yesterday that he hasn't done in most games he plays and past games against us. Let's stop acting like Melo was this innocent saint, he constantly porkchop dudes, flails his arms and elbows into players and/or swing his arms wildly on offense and defense. They both were very guilty yesterday. The point I'm making our star becomes easily unraveled when players get physical with him and he's shown this several times this season already.

Did you read his fellow teammates comments...Amar'e?

Amar'e Stoudemire also weighed in on what Garnett might have done to anger Anthony.

"It was more just talk," he said. "More talk more than anything. Words are pretty sharp, so when you say certain things, it gets under your skin and it gets you a little angry. And that happens to the best of us. We've got to make sure that we keep our composure and see if we can beat a team like Boston."

As much of a dope Amar'e can be at times he's SPOT ON here.

Like I said it's coming out now that KG was disrespecting Melo ... let's see another man disrespect your wife and you say/do nothing at all.

As I'm reading online this morning, that's what some people are saying.

Legion Sports ‏@MySportsLegion

Kevin Garnett supposedly told Carmelo Anthony his wife LaLa tastes like Honey Nut Cheerios.

Same guy that said Charlie V. looks like a cancer patient, so we already know he doesn't care about crossing the line.

No one knows what KG said, but he has a history of crossing the line. Remember when he called Charlie V a Cancer Patient? Its one thing to talk trash about my game, but dont cross the line and talk about a serious health issue I may or may not be going through or talk about my family.

Who knows what the hell was said on the court. We all know that Garnett has a reputation though but Melo seems to talk a lot of smack too. With that said, I don't think I saw Melo got as heated since that brawl at MSG when he was a Celtic. Very curious situation. Pretty serious stuff must have been said.

Nba players should be replaced by robots- we can't have them showing emotions. Glad some of he media are giving him a hard time for showing the peculiar emotion of 'anger' when another player who is the master of antagonising people, antagonised him. Melo should be suspended for 5 years to protect us from players getting angry.

Nalod, in your profession, is it considered ok for people to talk about your family in a negative and insulting manner? Are you expected to take it in and allow it to continue? There is no HR to complain to about inappropriate behavior in the NBA. Sometimes it's not that simple.

KG was cool because he was the instigator, to him that's a part of the game. Talk smak and play innocent. (Since when does KG ever pick on anyone his size anyway?) And it is exactly as black and white as you have laid it out from the perspective of someone on the outside looking in. Yo mama jokes only go so far, but if KG got really personal, crossed a line as he's done in the past, you don't expect anger to be a natural a human reaction?

It's one thing to play hard and draw fouls and frustrate players in that respect. But when you come to insulting someone's family, how is that a part of the game? I'm not talking about yo Mama jokes here.

I would have preferred winning the game to all this nonsense but he's human, he reacted, and his coach and teammates were there to prevent something worse from happening. He'll probably get a fine and a suspension and KG will walk free.
