to get everything on the right page. I think inserting Camby into starting lineup until Rasheed comes back was smart--but Ill say it 100 times--Ronnie Brewer cannot be our SG. Think about the starting lineup--no one can penetrate and we can compensate with a deadly outside sniper. Id rather play Novak at SG if Woodson is dead set against starting JR.

Playing with Stoudemire is going to be a work in process. It has thrown off the team just a little bit--not bad--but the hope is if he can get into form over 20 games--he can give us 14-16 points 55% off the bench with some rebounds. He lost his man a few times which hurt us. Then we go through with it again with Shumpert Wallace and Felton. Someone is going to sit for sure. Please try Novak at starting 2G for now---put Brewer on the 2nd unit for situational D. Teams are absolutely going to start smother melo if we dont surround him with more offense.

SMH, you have a guy who plays defense and can carry you on the bench because you are hoping your non-defensive/rebounding Soft injury prone Power Forward can get back to being able to carry the team offensively or/and your defensive rookie has some how gained the ability to score at a starters level while coming back from season ending injury.

Neither one of them are able to even play at that level right now, but here we are running Melo out there and saying" beat the Bulls, beat the Celtics, beat Grizzle all by yourself". Get that thrown in our faces and turn around to JR and tell him to do the same???

How about we play our two best players together and let Brewer help out defensively for Novak and Amare off the bench.......Guess it makes too much sense, doesn't feel good like JR off the bench and playing 14 dead minutes of Basketball to start each Half.

Lets get over the D a little. When teams suffocate Melo and he has no one to pass to--what the heck does D do for you? There is a balance. Id like to start JR but Woodson for some reason will not.

Melo begs to differ he said this is the best team he's ever been on because he has so many options to go to....

He also said the in the Daily News I believe or the Post that the Knicks aren't worried about the Celtics prior to the game played tonight. Maybe just maybe Melo is slightly the problem in that a team totally built around his prowess of scoring and leadership might be a recipe of end result disaster.

I can't argue with his statement, the team looks great. But when the playoffs come we will need better scoring options than Brewer. Maybe his shot comes back but at least we have Shump then and that will be both an offensive and defensive upgrade. Hopefully the chemistry and health stay good and improve come playoffs.
