Grizzlies have been exploring trades supposedly the past few weeks. My guess is if they start to slide or don't produce well in the post-season he's 86.

I wonder what team he'd be an ideal fit on. I bet Danny Ainge makes a play for him if/once he's really available.

Ainge might but that would mean he was moving on from Pierce. It might be time but that won't go over well.

I don't think that would be the angle. I was thinking Jeff Green/Sullinger/filler/1rst for Gay/filler. Memphis wants to shed some coin after recent sale.... while staying competitive

Rudy Gay would be good on a team like Milwaukee.

The guy appears to coast through games too much for my liking.

Any high profile player on the market, their agents will demand Iman Shumpert. No way am I willing to give up on the overall talents and potential of Shump. A true basketball junkie this kid is. Once he returns? He'll become the heart of our defense along with Tyson Chandler. The Garden will go insane for Shumpert's lockdown defense. If anything, he's a much stronger player due to this injury. Smarter. A better understanding of the game. Seen from a far as an observer ala basketball junkie.

Rudy Gay would be amazing as a Knick, but I'd rater wait for potential free agents before dealing a J.R Smith and/or Iman Shumpert.

NO could probably swing something for him. Gay is just another Danny Granger/ Joe Johnson type.

I don't know about Joe Johnson but you put one of either Gay or Granger on our Knicks team? Forget about it. The man (Gay) is a career 17.9 points per game type of scorer. Only 26 years of age. Currently averaging 18.0 points, 5.9 boards and 2.6 assists, 1.5 steals and 0.8 blocks per game at the SF position.

C: Tyson Chandler.
PF: Carmelo Anthony.
SF: Rudy Gay.
2G: Iman Shumpert.
PG: Raymond Felton.

C: Marcus Camby.
PF: Amar'e Stoudemire.
SF: Steve Novak.
2G: J.R Smith.
PG: Jason Kidd.

11th, 12th and 13th: Pablo Prigioni and Ronnie Brewer along with one of either Rasheed Wallace, Chris Copeland or Kurt Thomas. When you have a defensive role player such as Ronnie Brewer as your 12th man off the bench? You're a true NBA Championship Contender (for possibly quite some time too).

Truth be told? If we had Rudy Gay? Look at that freaking starting lineup. Better yet, look at our backup 5. Our backup 5 would make the playoffs as a top 5-6 seed without question. With Stoudemire and J.R Smith leading the way.

Yeah, Gay is overpaid and should be the third scoring option on most scoring teams. If I'm NO, I'd rather take my chances in the draft then pay Gay. Rudy would be a good fit for the Clippers, Mavericks, Toronto and Suns.

Knicks need a young SG or PG.

If we lose JR Smith we are totally screwed.

Overrated. Not worth even half the cap space he takes up.

Could you imagine KG giving Gay the stink breath over one of his many lapses? You thought he had Big Baby crying - this would be epic

Doesn't even really matter what KG would since Hollering believes Jeff Green one of the biggest waste of space in the league(per a Bill Simmons I listened to). I doubt he would want Jeff Green and Sullinger any way if you believe Hollering is behind this in the first place.

Mental midget. Pass.

Woodson's voodoo powers used up on JR and Melo. Don't think he can concoct another bottle of serum for another underachiever.
