Loved watching that interview, it cleared up a few things too. Shump seems a lot wiser since last year, and said he takes preparing himself a lot more seriously rather than just relying on his youth. Also said he's done a lot of corrective things (posture etc) which were putting more pressure on his knees last year. He looked a bit sad that he's lost his jumping ability for now, but hopes it will return, and from the clips of him working out it looks like he can still dunk the ball. Alos said he's done A LOT of shooting due to the rehab. As for his return he said he's just waiting until the test results show that his strength in each knee matches, so I suppose it's just a matter of waiting for that day. Can't wait to have him back- one of my favourite Knicks. |
