These Nets are for real! And they're also the best in the area, IMO.
We suck.

Kidd had 12 pts, 15 asts and 6 boards (Damn I'd love to have him on our team!) ... Spree led us with 25 ... Eisley was given more time (26 mins) than Jackson (22 mins) ... Shandon played well ... The big NJ frontcourt killed us, just like they did in the preseason ... Todd Mac had 16 pts and 7 boards on 6-for-7 shooting (good for my fantasy league team!) ... Next up are the Los Angeles Clippers, and I don't fancy our chances.
We suck.

I can't forget the good things I saw from the Knicks. The start of the second half was some great basketball. Eisley and Shandon played great, and they are deserving of more playing time. The 50-50 split for time at the PG position will have to be changed so Eisley is gettig 30+ minutes. When Jax comes in the Knicks are playing 4 on 5 on both ends. How many times is Jax's defender going to fall to the floor and still get back into the play defensively without the Knicks taking advantage?

I think the Knicks lost it when Allan Houston came in for Shandon at the end of the 3rd. Two terrible offensive posessions with less than a minute left put a damper on the Knicks rally and swithed the momnetum back to NJ. Allan Houston is proving every night thathe is a one demensional jump shooting guard. Put a taller long armed guy on him and you can shut him down no problem. He did play well against the Blazers, but most of his points came against a smaller Derek Anderson...once they put Pippen on him his scoring was shut down.

I've been saying it from the beginning... Eisley should start, with Ward coming off the bench. Trade Jackson!

I know Charlie hasn't exactly been inspirational when he's played this season, but I still prefer him to Jax. Jax was great in the good old days, when he would have 10 assists a game and wasn't an OAP in NBA terms; but now, I don't see anything from him, his D is as poor as anyone's and he has no quickness what-so-ever.

JVG has promised changes...please, Jeff, start Eisley and trade Jackson!

You are absolutely right. They were only down two, then ended the quarter down 9 or something.

Unfortunately, with Jackson and Houston in there, its a 5 on 3 for the other team.

Houston is definitely overpaid. How many times have you heard "Houston dribbles it off his foot and loses it . . ."

When is Allan going to back up his statement "I am the best shooting guard in the NBA?" Because right now, he's not even in the top 10. I really like this guy, and I know he has the talent, which makes his recent play even more frustrating...
We suck.

Todd MacCulloch, whom the Knicks ignored in the 1999 draft and instead picked J.R. Koch in the second round, scored 13 of his 16 in the first half.
We suck.

We've passed up a lot of opportunities like that, but it doesn't compare to cutting Eddie Robinson from training camp two years ago in order to sign David Wingate. He could match the intensity level of Sprewell and Camby and give us more trading leverage. That move was just wrong.

Still, i am saying this team IS better then New Jersey and most other teams in the east with Camby in the line-up. Once he comes back, Knick basketball will be exciting to watch again.

Knixkik, congrats on 400!
You've got double my total, so I guess there's some catching up to be done!

And I agree with you about E-Rob... Can you imagine having Robinson, Sprewell and Camby in the same lineup?!? They would be very exciting to watch.
We suck.

Granted MacCulloch is a big body, but I think that Kidd makes him what he is. Put MacCullluh on the Knicks and he is just a slight improvement over Spencer. Really how many times is Todd going to get you points off of his individual effort?

My point is that he would be a whole lot better than J.R. Koch.
