I would say give Brewer's minutes to Amare and bring Cope off the bench because he's such a solid scorer.

Agree with your point though.. Copeland has certainly played his way into Brewer's minutes. Hes better at everything

True I'm really excited for when stat comes back.. I still beleave he is a starter in time... I hope later in the season our team looks like this.. C chandler/Camby/stat PF stat/sheed/melo SF melo/ Novak mixed with Copland off bench SG Iman/smith/Kidd pg Felton/Kidd/pgoni ... I just think its dangerous to have melo continue to play the pf all the time I think he'll be injury prone.. But what I really like is we can really mix up that rotation depending on who is hot on a nightly basis.

Yes, his offensive game and footwork is very polished. He's a threat from everywhere on the court. We definitely have to find some time for him on a nightly basis, not just when guys are injured.

Not everything. He's always getting pushed off the block, offensively and especially defensively. He needs to get stronger, especially in the lower body. He just can't maintain his spot. Really hurts his rebounding and boxing out.

Right now, Novak is becoming an ineffective decoy. He doesn't seem to be able to get clear looks at the basket or to break himself free for his patented three. When these same conditions happen with Copeland, he is at least able to drive to the rim, or move to a spot that is conducive to an open look. If Novak can't do the same....

Your bench becomes weak, putting brewer on it..Keeping him in the starting line up for there 1st 5 to 6 minutes then yank him..

I like the bench to be

amare
novy
JR
piggs

Camby/cope/kt/white

When shump comes back and brewers is not producing, his going to get DNP's anyway

aside for defense. Also, I thought that Brewer was a pretty smart player who just could not shoot and that he passed well in the flow of the offense. Now, I think he is a mess and needs to just stay on the bench.

we need to talk more about how Copeland's defense absolutely sucks. And then we can talk more floor time.

Is it any worse than Novak?

Yes. I've seen Novak play better defense and reb at times. Never seen defense out of Cope.

Regardless I'd still start him over Brewer until Amare gets back.

Cope struggles early with TO's, bad defense and rebounding and you pull him quick. Not much different than how Brewer is handled
