many people that are experts of the nba were ranking nba players. it amazes me how fluid it can be week to week. i remembered when melo wasnt even considered top 10 last year and look at him now. however if i had to rank the players, here is how i would do it:

1.) kevin durant

2.) bron bron james

3.) cp3

4.) melo

5.) kobe bean

6.) superman dwight

7.) d. rose

8.) k. love

9.) deron williams

10.) russell westbrook

Not bad, but James Harden should be on that list somewhere if it's "right now".

1) Kevin Durant
2) Lebron James
3) Chris Paul
4) James Harden
5) Kobe Bryant
6) Tim Duncan
7) Dwight Howard
8) Tony Parker
9) Zach Randolph
10) Blake Griffin

Tyson was borderline. If his defense gets back to normal, he's up there. Melo would need to get at least some of his supporting stats (assists, rbs, blks, stls) higher to be on the list.

1. Lebron James
2. Kevin Durant
3. Chris Paul
4. Kobe Bryant
5. Marc Gasol
6. Kevin Love Russel Westbrook
7. Russell Westbrook Carmelo Anthony
8. Carmelo Anthony Blake Griffin
9. Blake Griffin Rajon Rondo
10. Rajon Rondo James Harden

Honorable Mention: Kevin Garnett, Dwayne Wade, Kyrie Irving, James Harden, Tony Parker, and Tim Duncan.

When Dwight's fully healthy he'll be no worse than 4th but until then he's out. Dirk would probably be around 7th or 8th if he were healthy. Derrick Rose would be no worse than 5th.

Now the joy of my world is in Zion How beautiful if nothing more Than to wait at Zion's door I've never been in love like this before Now let me pray to keep you from The perils that will surely come

Definitely closer to what I think, and Paul Pierce is having himself a solid season too. No way Dwight Howard makes the list "right now". OJ Mayo should be in the running for a mention too (borderline mention)- dude has definitely over achieved. Tony Parker may not belong there though.

TKF on Melo ::....he is a punk, a jerk, a self absorbed out of shape, self aggrandizing, unprofessional, volume chucking coach killing playoff loser!!

IDK - I think they are more efficient and better defensively. Well not sure about Love.

You know what, you're right about Kevin Love. He's been hurt and isn't playing very well at all this season. I'm bumping him off and adding James Harden. And we're just going to have to disagree on Gasol and Westbrook.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

1) LeBron (best player in the world)
2) Durant (MVP of the league thus far, based on individual numbers/team record)
3) Melo (May be the player who is most instrumental to his team's success this year, given how successful Knicks have been despite injuries.)
4) Kobe
5) Paul
6) Duncan
7) Randolph
8) Rondo
9) Westbrook
10)Parker

You can't put Deron Williams on that list if you say 'right now', guy is barely a top 25 at this point, totally exposed as something worse than a Marbury, he makes Stephon look like an All Time Great
