I don't know how anyone can watch Jeremy Lin nd not consider him an elite NBA PG talent. He took some time to get back from injury and mesh with new team but he has--and hes really good. With all of the money we have wasted--the first time were cheap its backfiring.

When I think of upcoming elite pg, I think of Kyrie Irving....not Lin.

I figured he'd have a 15/7 season with league average shooting percentage. He's rapidly approaching this level.

Right Handed point guards can still be very effective as they continue to work on other areas of their game, which involves more than just improving on your left.

It doesn't matter that Kyrie is a great young PG, the point is that Lin in his own right is also a very talented player and he's going to get better as he learns. People have been so quick to say that Felton is far superior to Lin, but they forget that Lin was coming back off injury and also learning to adjust to new team and playing with Harden. Felton at the same time was fired up and he usually starts strong and then fades. Now Lin is coming on strong and showing the talent he displayed in NY.

We have to hope Felton can get his game fixed and not try to shoot every time he touches the ball. part of the problem is that teams are daring Felton to hit the jumper. They back off the PnR and take away the paint so Tyson can't roll and that leaves only Felton and his jumper. Lin on the other hand doesn't need a pick to get into the paint and he can finish and gets to the line with ease. Lin also has better court vision than Felton. I like Felton, but I think people have to stop looking at Lin as if he's not a talented player when it's clear that he is more talented than Felton. Felton is a tougher guy with a bull dog mentality, but he's not more talented than Lin.

Gone is the often trotted out "small sample size".

Now you have "large enough sample size", and "multiple seasons" and "different systems, coaches".

It was a huge mistake to let go of Jeremy Lin. Matching what he got would have been a BARGAIN for the extra help we could have had to make our current serious run.

He has put together 4 or 5 consecutive games for the Rockets but the guy has under 60 games as a starter. He certainly is coming on and his run in NY was amazing. However, he has had a lot of disappointing games this year as well. I still think the Knicks needed a more veteran back court. Loved Lin when he was here but I think the Knicks were put in a position where they had to let him go to Hou.

Yep Knicks should've shown Lin they wanted him early in the process. Unfortunate the Knicks bought into the Stephen A. Smiths of the world who wanted Felton and did nothing but discredit Linsanity. It also didn't help that Melo was jealous. Woodson will side with Melo. It's a shame things came down to Dolan's bruised EGO

Last year it was "turnovers". His numbers this season indicate this isn't a problem any more than other PG.

"Inconsistent" is if you have good games then bad games and it's random. What you have here is poor early season numbers coming back from knee surgery, and now showing good speed and explosiveness. Lin last 4 games: 58.8% shooting, 18.8pt, 9as, 3.3rbs, 2.3tos, 1.5 Stls,.5blks

Stop the blindness.

Didn't you just post that the sample size isn't small anymore? I don't think you can site the last 4 games in season where the guy has played well when he has struggled or minimally been inconsistent for the entire season. He is definitely on an upswing but 4 or 5 games out of 30 doesn't mean you have arrived in my opinion.

Its okay critics were saying 25 games watching enough of a sample size. We will see at the end of the year. Lin could've been Knicks pg for the next 10-15yrs. Felton will hopefully be traded at the end of the year

Felton will be traded for who?

Lin never would have worked here with Melo, and is not playing more than another 10 years, definitely not 15.

Lin is playing with Harden in the same backcourt. He can play with Melo. Knicks 6-1 with Melo, Amare and Woodson

I think the issue was how the contract would be structured but reading Kobe's comments about how fans were hard on Melo because he might mess up Linsanity gives some perspective on the situation. Melo might be the mvp, he definitely is a top 5 player. Lin helped a rigid coach have some success but I do think the Knicks wanted him back. Similar to Asik, the contract was not matchable. Morey looks really good tonight. His big signings both had double doubles.
