Absolutely agree- no idea why people are so focused on Melo and Amar'e. I don't think it's anything that can't be worked out, but it's strange writers never seem to mention it. Amar'e rediscovering his jumper would help a great deal.

This whole Amar'e/Melo thing has taken on a life of it's own- they weren't that bad together the season we traded for Melo- they were averaging about 24 and 26 points in March 2011. Last season both Melo and Amar'e had their worst seasons (Amar'e due to the back injury/conditioning, and Melo due to an assortment of injuries), no training camp and no point guard- yet people seem to make out it was a standard season for both players and so is proof that they can't play together.

Watching that, a) I don't remember Amar'e wearing knee pads on both knees that season, but I hope he does when he gets back- maybe if he'd worn them in the preseason workouts, he would have bumped knees with Cope and b) It must be weird for Amar'e watching our games lately, hearing the crowd chant "MVP" to Melo, remembering when they used to do that for him his first season here (you can here it in the video when he's taking free throws). Now they consider him a bum. Ah, the fickleness of the NY crowd!

I don't think any smart fan would consider Amare a bum.
