Wow. Looking at his game logs he hasn't been called for a foul in his last 5 games, since the 12/8 game against New Orleans.

It's ridiculous. Also, the biggest flopper last season hasn't even had a warning this year. It's good to be the king.

Ya know if stern is gonna manipulate the refs and such why doesnt he just cancel the season and had the trophy to the cheat? This league is being run like the WWF. I dont know how but I know one of you knows how to look this up and find the last player not to get a foul called in such an expanse of time.

I decided to quickly look at the fouls per game stats and find the guy with highest minutes and least fouls per game, and I found that Joe Johnson plays 38 minutes per game but only gets called for 1.3 fouls per game, so that's pretty low, it's easy to imagine that Joe Johnson could go 3 or 4 or 5 games without a foul called and playing high minutes,

Lebron's career fouls per game is at 1.9 and at 1.4 this season with 37 minutes per game this season,

So it's not like he gets called for a lot to begin with, it's not that strange of a case here,

Verdict: it's alright, man

Two of the 5 games he played only 30 minutes, and his last 0 foul game before this run he played 42 minutes, so there you go

He is too good of a defender to not pick up more fouls.

So you're saying good defenders foul a lot? I could imagine a plausible hypothesis in that direction but I don't know if it's valid or not

More so than ****ty defenders. A ****ty defender will just get out of the way of someone scoring while good defenders don't.

Eh, there are plenty of ****ty defenders who foul you every time you beat them. For example, Mike Sweetney averaged 6 fouls per 36 min.

True. There are two main types of ****ty defenders. There are guys who try but aren't very good anyway. They tend to get called for a lot of reach-ins and get fooled by headfakes a lot. JR and Melo did that a lot last year and still sometimes this season also. The other main type is really the one I was talking about; the Amare/DLee bad defender. Guys who just get out of the way when a player drives at them.

Excerpt's from Tim Donaghy's book:

Fellow referee Danny Crawford attended Michael Jordan's Flight School Camp years ago and later told me that he had long conversations with other referees and NBA players about how Bavetta propped up weak teams. Danny told me that Jordan himself said that everyone in the league knew that Bavetta cheated in games and that the players and coaches just hoped he would be cheating for them on game night. Cheating? That's a very strong word to use in any
sentence that includes the name Dick Bavetta. Is the conscious act of helping a team crawl back into a contest "cheating"? The credo of referees from high school to the NBA is "call them like you see them." Of course, that's a lot different than purposely calling more fouls against one team as opposed to another. Did Bavetta have a hidden agenda? Or was he the ultimate company man, making sure the NBA and its fans got a competitive game most times he was on the court?

Studying under Dick Bavetta for 13 years was like pursuing a graduate degree in advanced game manipulation. He knew how to marshal the tempo and tone of a game better than any referee in the league, by far. He also knew how to take subtle — and not so subtle — cues from the NBA front office and extend a playoff series or, worse yet, change the complexion of that series.

That's how the game was played when we had the winning streak and went up against Memphis.

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Dosn't look related to betting directly.
It is all about spread... so it is not clear how callng or not callong Bron can be monetized.
LeBron if frick of nature. He is bigger and stronger that any player he guard. So why he would fall them?
Plus he is smart and if some quick guard are beatting him he will compenate by scoring on other end.
Melo is also not called much except of technicals when he get frustrated.

"There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, Than are dreamt of in your philosophy." Hamlet
Get This! Lebron James has not been called for a foul in over 2 weeks of playing. Whats up refs.
