Even though our defense hasnt been as good lately i believe once we get shump melo and sheed back it will go back to being really good. However im worried that we have so many injuries at the same time. yes its better now than later BUT i want us to try and get the top 2 seeds and to do that we need to probably win at least 55 games

It's really not that bad. We've had injuries just like other teams. Just look at Bulls, or Celtics.. I'm glad I'm not their fans right now, so much injuries. San Antonio on the other hand, boring as hell as a team, no sparks, but steady and wins championships, not to mention the coach makes sure his starters don't get a chance to be injured by yanking them out from away games with tough teams.

And yet we still keep winning. I think all these injuries are blessing in disguise because I really don't think we will win that many games if all of them were healthy. Keeps happening to our team this year, someone gets injured, and others pick up, one even shined briefly. Then one of the stars goes down and the other star shined. Now maybe, and I'm not saying this will happen, but Amar'e comes back, and Melo stays injured, maybe Amar'e will continue the shining? Dunno, so far so good and I don't wanna jinx our team. I think we're soo damn lucky this year it's unbelievable to the point where maybe it is the end of the world and our Knicks finally gets to shine? 2 more days to prove that... where's playa2 when you need him?

19-6

JamesLin makes some excellent points about reserves and playing time. Chris Copeland is an unexpected gift. JR Smith is gaining in professionalism with every game. Pablo Prigioni is gaining a sense of NBA rhythm. First time around the league and he could be a starter by February.

You heard it here first.

I agree to the point where it's helped everybody get minutes. Once Stat and Shump come back they'll play less, but they know they'll get playing time one way or another, and it's good to know they're able to step up when need be.

But I wouldn't call our injuries a blessing, they left us shorthanded quite a few times this season, and I can't help but think we'd have a better record if the players wouldn't have gotten injured.

OKC, Miami and Memphis. Maybe the Clips, but IMHO they're an aberration right now.

During an 82 game season, you're going to have your injuries.

It's a chance for other guys to step up (Copeland), and is an indicator of how well the team can handle a not so full and healthy roster.

The team has responded pretty well.

As good as Chandler is playing lately, sometimes he needs help in the paint. I don't believe its going be often that we have Stat, Camby, and Sheed out at the same time so I'm not very concerned at this point.

Shump can take it to the rim and he'll be back soon, Brewer, Kidd, and Novak don't for the most part so we need his inside scoring. Copeland is insurance for the times when injuries start to get the best of the roster.

So far Grunwald's plan is working, the team has been deep enough to absorb the loss of the injured players. Its going to take time to get everyone relatively healthy. Once they do the most important thing will be to get everyone on the same page. That's where Kidd is so important, as a player and leader.

we are as deep as any team in the league, I know when i first heard amare would be out for 6-8 wks, i figure we would be a a .500 team, sort of like dallas, nets, pacers. It's a testament to woodson.

After Amare went down he was ask how well would the team be in his absence, he didn't even flinch before answering with a bout load of confidence, We will be fine, like no big deal..
