Fickle in a pickle

AnubisADL wrote:Dudes don't realize how fickle NY fans really are. Lin sucks now.

If he was killing it in Houston maybe but the guy is underachieving.

There is no "one size fits all" for fans of New York. There are millions of us and no two think exactly alike. Lin is who we thought he was. He is achieving at exactly the rate he is supposed to be. Nothing more. Nothing less. Underachievement is for players who are lazy and unmotivated. Certainly, Lin is neither.

I think it'll be a mixed reaction during introductions. Probably alot of cheers mixed in with a little jeers. Overall, I hope the kid well and hopefully this closes the chapter on "Linsanity". It's a new phase of life for both sides, time to move on. Hope he performs well for the Garden faithful. Hopefully in a big Knicks win.

Felton & Kidd should decide to treat Linn like Jordan & Pippen treated Kukoc in the Olympics!!!

Knicks don't want to lose two in a row to the Rockets, time for some payback.

I love what Chandler said about playing against Lin.

''He did an excellent job of bringing a lot of cheer. He brought a lot of great vibes to the city and just the arena in general. I had a fun time playing with him,'' center Tyson Chandler said. ''So I don't know what his reception is, but whatever it is he's on the other side now, so he has to pay for that.''

JAMES DOLAN on Isiah : He's a good friend of mine and of the organization and I will continue to solicit his views. He will always have strong ties to me and the team.

Lin will get his applause, as he has that acknowledgement coming to him. He said that he can't wait to get the nostalgia moment "overwith", and so do I.

This team beat us by 28 last time we met. Looking for that BIG PAYBACK from the Knicks (including Melo) tonight. Rockets get blown out by 30 tonight. No dogfight, just a thorough WHOOPIN from wire to wire is what I see the Knicks showing us tonight.

This team is coming with it against Lin and his new crew tonight. GO KNICKS.

Another season, and more adversity to persevere through. We will get the job done, even BETTER than last year. GO KNICKS!

I don't care if Lin has a big game against us, just somebody check Larry Bird, I mean Chandler Parsons.

Times like this you really miss Shump- I loved his explanation last season as to why he plays killer defense, something about looking at players lighting us up and thinking "this guy... This guy shouldn't be scoring".

Both hands? When did that happen???
Knicksfan: Hypocrite league that fines players after the game for flopping but in the game and with obvious flopping they call the fouls.

Indeed. Shump plays with that chip on his shoulder defensively. Like he takes it personal, if certain guys score on him.

Does this mean Ray is going to shoot more or less?

Because if it means he is going to look to orchestrate more than this can be a blessing

He's one tough dude to be playing through that. Apparently he fell during the last game, I do actually remember seeing it and him clutching his hand after. Hope they heal quick, though I fear for his shooting percentage!

Now that you mention it, I actually remember the same thing. I know this doesnt make sense but I hope this is the Knicks getting their injuries outta the way before the playoffs. Im sick of seeing them enter the post season with a depleted roster

I can't decide if we've been damn lucky or cursed- we've had a lot of injuries but they were so close to being a lot worse- bone bruises are one step below a break, and we've had one to Amar'es knee, one to each of Feltons hands, and one to Tysons knee. On top of that, Melo's fall in the last game could have been a lot nastier.
