Is he trying not to play well to remain a Knick?

I dunno man...the guys on the bench have all been out producing him for a while now.

He brings alot of intangibles...but he's not really playing all that much better than Baker or Sweetney....lately at least.

right. We don't need him to score. We just need him to be on the floor for 32min not 22. I focused on his defense lastnight and it was awful. Baker actually played better defense. Too bad it was too late.

Get your head in the game Kurt or sit your ass on the bench!

i told you baker would be more productive than thomas... baker provides more offensive options and is a lot more agile on the D too

KT had one amazing shooting stretch, but he's been of his game since then. That pinky isn't getting better, and he's been horrid since he signed his contract. I'd definitely rather see some Baker/Nazr twin towers action out there more often. And obviously I want to see Sweetney get more minutes.

I agree why KT and Shandon start is mindboggling to me. Especially if Kurt IS hurt.

I guess Lenny is too much of a puss to give em what they deserve. I have a strong feeling that if they keep it up Isiah will step in and demand that at least Shandon gets out of the rotation. Man I can't believe I'm saying it but right now I wish Isiah was coaching this team.

OMG!

just look at the inconsistencies of Kurt Thomas for yourselves. You can't blame all those 17min nights on a pinky!

but you can blame it on his Pinky-sized brain.

another thing about KT is he's a spot up shooter and is useless if there is no post presence. Right now teams have been all over the pick and roll with the Knicks.

who should replace KT next year? Should we re-sign Baker? Juwan Howard was on the block in Orlando, Rahim is stuck in Portland, and then there i sthe bluff of Sheed taking 5 mill to play with is friend Marbury who knows his sister "very well"

Baker cannot play for theknicks next season. Boston will not pay him and let him play for NY. They arent that stupid. And stop bustin on KT. Try and find the real problem. Shandon Anderson!

im not sure if this would be a trade beneficial to us but a deal for antonio davis would seem like a good idea for the bulls if they decided to keep both curry and chandler

he is making too much money for the position he has to fill behind them 2. Kurt Thmoas and or mutumbo/harrington/european dude
are all in the last years of their contracts. They can clear salary and possibly head in the mcgrady sweepstakes for the following year...also possibly resigning TC and EC

antonio davis is getting old and isnt putting the numbers ever since he got that big contract. He is a tough defender but also undersized. He can fill the f/c position and looked like he could quite dominating in the east a couple years ago.

if the knicks really arent thinking about cutting salary, i think this could be one of the reasonable and possible trades. With Kurt Thomas's contract and skills would seem servicable for the bulls and their 2 young centers. However, is the european dude/mutombo/othella harington and cash/2nd rd pick possibly be enough for davis?

what are your thoughts and opinions on this....

What exactly do you expect from KT? He plays defense. Off the bench or as a starter, he will do the same thing. He does more than Allan Houston does. How come its not Allan Houston "sucks period"

Oh, and stop calling people idiots. The same GM that has rebuilt this team gave KT an extension. Is he an idiot too?

With you, Silver. KT has some limitations, but he's a good player who does a lot well. He's a very good shooter for a PF. Plays good post-up d and good help d. Draws as many charges as any PF in the league, I'd bet.

Not a very good athlete. Can't run or jump. Shot does go away for games at a time. But he usually holds his own (depending on matchup, of course). PF is not the position I'm worried about w/ him and Sweets. Much more concerned about Center and SG.

that's my whole thing....KT hasn't been in these games....

That sucks because he hasn't been his usual dirty kurty. KT is one of my favorite knicks but so was Sprewell. There is life after your favorite player leaves the team. Th enew one might become your new favorite.....Liek Tim Thomas. He has earned my respect. He has scored within the flow of the offense. I hope he's ready tonight....

KT's defense is not game breaking like a Ben Wallace, or a Ratliff. I'd rather have Juwan howard right about now. Howard even though he has been over paid in the past, he's been a good post player. He can really score the ball. Maybe Orlando takes KT....this offseason is gonna be interested to say the least.

If your beef is that KT can only play 20 mins then thats a totally different thing than saying KT "sucks preiod"!!!! If he fouls out and you hate that he plays only 20 mins, this means you want him ot play more than 20 mins. Yea he has to learn to play careful and not foul out. Also, please tell me were have you seen his defense being "awful" like you said previously?

alright maybe im exaggerating..your right that is what I mean i guess. If he able to stay in the games like he did last year and take a few shots and hit them and play solid D and rebound then I'll be more than happy. It's just that this year he isn't our only good big man so I'm losing patience a little quicker.
